Japanese news is running tonight online (in Japanese) with reference to Searchina news service (Chinese) highlighting the tax protest Tea Parties around the nation, HERE.
Bottom line could be said from the Japanese title translation: 米国各地で抗議デモ、オバマ政権の経済政策に不満爆発
or:
"DISATISFACTION WITH OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FISCAL POLICY EXPLODES, PROTEST DEMONSTRATIONS HELD IN EVERY PART OF AMERICA"

I found this article to be in great detail. It said where many of the various demonstrations were occuring, size of large crowds, what American people are angry about (against Obama policy) and where it began (CNBC reporters' comments), grassroots effort, gave a historic reference to the "BOSTON TEA PARTY" in the 1700s and its relevance to this movement, etc. etc. I have not seen the major Japanese nets run with this, but this piece online is pretty good and gives Japanese readers an excellent view that Obama does not have unanimous support by a long shot. (Link to original Japanese) This may come as a surprise to many Japanese as nonstonp since November they have been running this uncritical "Yes We Can" campaign in Japanese advertising, political reporting, books/magazines, TV shows, catch phrases, etc. giving the mistaken, surface impression that a wide majority of Americans--near unanimity--prefer this man and the direction he is taking the USA. It will be good to see some counterbalance finally injected into the public mindset equation over here.

its going to be hard to get an exact count since there were many more protests than I thought.

"DISATISFACTION WITH OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FISCAL POLICY EXPLODES, PROTEST DEMONSTRATIONS HELD IN EVERY PART OF AMERICA"Geeze. It's pretty sad when Americans have to read a Chinese newspaper to get the American news these days.
Our own press failed the U.S. big time today. Boy, do they have egg on their faces!

It will be good to see some counterbalance finally injected into the public mindset equation over here. Yes. And that may help some people in Japan.
However, over here in the U.S., we are so screwed!

Our own press failed the U.S. big time today. Boy, do they have egg on their faces! The only way they could have egg on their faces is if Obama is part chicken, considering where they've had their noses buried for the past two years.

thanks for that
sad that Japan and other international media report and get it while our own dumb media like MSNBC, CNN,NBC are out of touch and do not get it which remind me of the CNN reporter today having a go at a protester while he holds his baby
they really are idiots

My thoughts as well. Sad indeed. And very embarrassing for our main stream press....bet the White House dirtbags and their little cabal talks with carville and begala and stephanopaulis are absolutely apoplectic that the foreign press corp is relishing reporting what they want killed.

Thanks AIT! It could be the world will view Americans and BO in a different light so long as the tea party rallies continue, which will happen. I attended one today at the state capital in Hartford, CT that drew 5,000 people according to the state police.

with the same dramatic Japanese title, and photograph of You-Know-How, is particularly eye opening. You don't see this frankness in a lot of US reporting, particularly in responsible places like CNN. It is more like reporting behind the Berlin Wall under Soviet control. CNN is NOT telling the people what is going on, but foreign news outlets are as they are not government by political correctness, nor apparantly agendaes as is within the insular, trendy/lib elite Friends-of-Obama editing rooms in New York City.

its going to be hard to get an exact count since there were many more protests than I thought. We've seen and heard a lot about the large cities, but all the cities - both big and small - had protesters out today. Even the itty bitty towns had protesters. This was huge.

Good evening/morning. I trust you are well.
Thanks for the perspective from your side of the world (unless you're in SEA/TAC waiting for a flight).

I’m sure there are many Chinese who are awed by the ability of American citizens to protest what our government is doing. Freedom of speech is our strength, not our weakness.

I suspect the Japanese evening news later tonight will start to carry this big story with Japanese networks. Did anyone see Japanese camera crews there today at these events?
NHK re-runs ABC-TV communist propaganda around 7:30 in the a.m. here in Tokyo daily our time, so they just voice-over translate World News Tonight and then Japanese get their own skewered liberal take from the US directly. But later in the evening, Japanese reporters from other networks (private not public) file their stories; often these can be more frank and objective as to what is going on. If some of these really show the strength of the Tea Party and also show the growing opposition to Obama, I shall be sure to give a synopsis and also post a link to the stream here on FR!

“MSM does not.”
MSM relies on Democrats for survival. It has lost credibility as a source for reliable information. That’s the MSM’s problem, not mine.

It is because (sad to say) you guys in general there stateside (with the exception of Free Republic, internet, etc) now live in place where you have controlled news. The Government is behind this, and they are solidifying their power, and trying to neutralize all opposition, as much as they can. A controlled media omitting material facts or slanting, in addition to DHS scare tactics, Fairness Doctrine, etc. all have one purpose: to silence oppposition. You are living right smack in the middle of it my friend. It is so clear when viewed from abroad and from a distance.
