That begs the question whether there were non-Christian signs and symbols and the President just wanted a clean platform or if this was veiled toward Christian symbols.

I for one, am really glad that this is happening in the Catholic Church. We are long overdue for something/one who can seperate the wheat from the chaff within our church. The bishops and priests (not all, but most) have been to concerned with growing the church and way less concerned with preserving her. I am ready for the purge, and with the rising up of the pewsitters in outrage over the CINO’s that helped to put BHO in office, along with some of the bishops growing a spine because it has gone way too far, this is it. The Church needs to halve in size so it can grow again, much like pruning back dead wood brings a glorious vibrant tree.

I for one, cannot wait! I don’t know how much longer I can bear seeing an obama/biden bumpersticker on a vehicle in the church parking lot every week. These folks don’t get it, you are complicit in an intrinsic evil if you helped put into office a man who considers a baby a punishment if you don’t want it, socialism as a legitimate form of government, and classifying patriots, especially our war veterans as domestic terrorists. A pox on them all.....

IHS actually is an abbreviation for In Hoc Signo, which is an abbreviation of the words In this sign (the cross) we conquer. Maybe Obama wanted the hammer and sickle, or his familiar colorful balls on the wall over or under the IHS, and the compromise was to remove the IHS since the alternative would have been a little too much for even the Jesuits to sell to the faithful, or even to the usually tractable and generally apologetic catholic backsliders whose faithful Catholic mothers are still alive.

I'm prepared to give 0bama the benefit of the doubt and say that this missive came from 0bama's staff...which I am SURE is filled with the most ego-centric, vile, hateful, statist, secular control freaks the Western world has ever seen.

I can definitely see one or more of them issuing this "request" unbeknownst to the president.
I don't think for a second he'd disagree with it or fire anyone, but it may not have come from his lips.
