I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.
I was in Flemington ,N.J.& I would guess at 250 people.
Small socialist democrat crowds always seem to be reported as hundreds of thousands or millions. Yet these protests are reported at a few hundred.
With the conservatives quiet nature I will suggest when you get even a real number of a hundred they represent MILLIONS of pissed off Americans that had to work versus getting to go to a Tea Party !
I personally am very grateful for all good Americans that protested today . Protested this criminal administration. Took time , lost a day of work and were able......
Thank you one and all ......
I was there but not a good crowd estimator! Wow, 1500, that’s a lot!
By post 188 I had completed this list, and got too fried to continue. Maybe someone else can complete it.

The revolution is not being televised.
As reported by the Lake Sun Leader (on-line), more than 300 attended the TEA Party at the Camden County Courthouse (Camdenton, MO). Not bad, not bad at all...
(I'm in St. Louis, and wanted so badly to go, but my boss is on vacation, and I had to work, just got home, in fact.)
:)

Palm Desert, CA: 1200
This was the 3d tea party of the day, one in Palm Springs & one earlier in Palm Desert.
I am checking in from Lynchburg, VA.
We had about 2,000 people!
The tea parties are headline news on Yahoo News.http://news.yahoo.com/i/718 My husband thinks that more people get their news off Yahoo and other internet sites than any of the other print media. There is a great 55 picture slideshow of tea party pictures from all over the country, showing huge crowds at some of them. The word is out, no matter how much CNN tries to trivialize or marginalize this, it is just too huge and there are pictures all over the internet! They can try to ignore this but just makes them look really stupid and out of touch(even more than usual)
You forgot NE Omaha 1,000 .
Just wanted to say thanks for your labor of love.
It would be great if someone can continue this, and then email the results to Rush, Sean, Mark, and others for further publicity.
Birmingham (Shelby County Veteran’s Park) was crazy. 3000-5000. Way more than was planned for.
Revise Indianapolis - wayyyy more than 1,000. Pajamas Media reports 8,000. I was there, at least 5,000. Local networks report thousand(S) - plural.
LOL! Yup, way to large and widespread for little CNN to marginalize the tea parties.
Abilene,TX
noon party about 350
5:00 party about 700
Any reports on the Louisiana Tea Parties? I heard that Baton Rouge had around 3,000. How did Metairie, Covington, Mandeville and others do?
Is this a great day or what???
Escondido, CA (downtown event) 2200.
We’re up to between 330,000 and 380,000 including the 190 cities reporting through Lynchburg, TN.
