The Popes said they received a call from the school informing them that because the event was a protest against the government, publicizing it was contrary to university policy and the signs needed to be removed.

Visit any campus and all you’ll find are posters of Che, Mao, pro-abortion rallies, “social justice” rallies, etc. Every one of them protests against the government from an extreme leftist position.

I thought universities were open to unbiased thought and inquiry.

Hasn't been the case for about a century now.

So they would have been against an anti-Iraq war protest, too, I suppose.

I know there was a silent /sarc tag there, but had to respond:

In which alternative universe?

because the event was a protest against the government

It's sad that even the Pope doesn't understand history or this country. We the People are the government. We the People who are protesting want to go back to the Constitution and Rule of Law. What we are protesting is what this "administration" is doing to both the Constitution and Rule of Law and We the People. And We the People have every right to protest an administration when they are wrong; as Hitlery said, "descent is patriotic".

THE Pope?

Did you read the article?

The Catholic Church has yet to weigh in on this.

I'm sure for Hillary "descent" is patriotic, but I think the word you really want is "dissent".

I'm pretty sure she doesn't view this particular kind of dissent patriotic, however!
