House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, announced last week that she wants to register guns. Her next move will be to try to confiscate them.
The speaker picked a television show with a viewership of 4.6 million to float the Democrats' coming gun-control push. Questioned on ABC's "Good Morning America" about the prospect of new gun-control laws now that "it's a Democratic president, a Democratic House," she responded, "We don't want to take their guns away. We want them registered."
Politicians and bureaucrats routinely claim that registration helps solve crimes. If a registered gun is used in a crime and left at the crime scene, registration supposedly lets the police trace the gun back to the criminal. Though this turn of events might work on fictional TV crime shows, it virtually never occurs in real life. Criminals' guns are rarely left at crime scenes. When guns are left behind, it usually is because a crook has been seriously injured or killed and the police are poised to catch him anyway. . . . .

But, if the gun used in the commission of a crime has been stolen, the criminal can be let go and the owner of the gun can be prosecuted.
So, you see, it's a win-win situation. For DemocRATS.
Very interesting expert opinion...
If Nancy wants my weapons, she can come to my front door and collect them in person.
I like your “about” profile, Mylife.
If I ever get down to your neighborhood the BBQ and Brews and are on me.
Here’s another reason that we need Congress back.
Gimme a shout
What restrictions are you talking about in Texas???
Remember when the Brady bill passed and the demonrats lost their butts in the 94 election.
History is about to repeat itself.
Every one should call the democrat dummys and encourage them to commit gun control suicide.
The few guns left at crime scenes rarely - if ever - are registered to the perpetrator. If they are registered at all, it is to someone else, whose piece was stolen. Despite what Mrs. Pelosi might think, those who use guns to commit major crimes such as robbing and killing are unlikely to respect her request to file paperwork so the government can catalog the tools of their trade."
The above explains it well in a nutshell.
Well... I shouldn’t say restriction. It s just that Texas is almost ALL Private Land.
There are very few Public places to hunt or shoot.
When I got here I was able to do what I like more in Ca than Tx.
Now I know some folks and have a lease. Still, the idea of paying bugs me. When I lived in Ca and Az you could shoot on BLM land everywhere.
That distant thunder is getting closer.
I agree...I thought you were talking about gun ownership restrictions.
The biggest speed bump here in Texas is “Will that be cash, credit card or check.”
Somebody register this red bitch as an enemy combatant and traitor. Gitmo’s still in operating.
Item on Fox News saying the Mexican gov’t is demanding a stop to the “flow of weapons” south.
This will be one “reason” offered, just wait and see.
Meanwhile, ammo prices go so high, saw 380acp at $47/box at a show, just plinker stuff !!!
I have been saying it for years. They want troops in your yard and arms restrictions.
People are demanding it. (for the childrunz)
To this end, a career ending law ought to be in place to put those at odds with said documents on notice that they'll not be tolerated, period.
Nothing could be more naked than truth that binds itself to the traitors of the 2A in their pronouncements for 'infringements' on this 'right'.
If their ideas to recind the 2A are so popular, they should seek a remedy via the ammendment process where every state has a chance to weigh in with a 3/4ths vote to change it.
The second ammendment states quite clearly that you have a 'right' to 'keep and bear arms' and there isn't one state or federal law ever passed that trumps this right. There are senators, representatives, judges, governors, mayors, police chiefs, council people, etc. who will object, but they should all be fired. Fired yesterday for engaging in an un-American activity.
