It is a principle of the law that can be traced back at least to Black's Law Dictionary, published in 1718 and immensely influential to America's founders.
It is almost a self-evident principle, but because we live in an age in which much of what was previously self-evident has become obscured, it's worth mentioning again – particularly with regard to Barack Obama's determined effort block any effort to ascertain whether or not he is actually constitutionally eligible to serve as president of the United States.
When American citizens demand proof that Obama is indeed a natural-born citizen, as the Constitution requires, it's not like a criminal indictment of someone who is presumed innocent until proven guilty. In this case, the burden of proof is on Obama – and he has done everything humanly possible to avoid releasing that proof to controlling legal authorities and the people he serves.

Obama was elected to serve you under the parameters of the Constitution, to which he took a sworn oath to uphold. (We all watched him botch it so badly he was forced to do it again – in private.)

For some reason our third branch of government (The United States Supreme Court) is AWOL. They are like (missing in action). Why in the name of the Founders of our Constitution are they totally quite on this matter? We are living in the twilight zone. I just want to pinch myself and wake up and find out this has just been a bad dream.
People have forgotten Obama vetoed a bill enacted by Bush about a review of newly hired government officials, this would have required credentials and performance evaluations.
If I remember right it was chopped almost immediately after he took office.
We need to have that bill re-instated.
The moment this item gets to the Court, it’ll disappear. Does anyone really believe that Justice Kennedy will side with Constitutional proscriptions even if the Court decides to address the case?

It will,once his REAL bc is produced. Right now, he holds all the cards with the Senate and House packed in his favor to override a veto of the bill you want reinstated. This is a sad, sad situation.
Yep. This one event has been an eye opener for me. The evasion on proving Obama's eligibility by ALL 3 branches of our government is proof positive that our government is now completely corrupt. And its not just one party, I always knew the Dems were corrupt, now its the GOP as well. Its all parties. That's the eye opener. A good man can honestly get elected in his home state, but as soon as he moves to Washington its like invasion of the body snatchers or something and even a good conservative GOP becomes corrupted.
The 2nd eye opener is the American people sit around and gripe in chat rooms and forums but DO absolutely nothing. Where are the pitchforks, the torches, the millions of men march on D.C.?????? WHERE? WHERE are the pictures of politicians being tarred and feathered by their constituents? WHY do the same corrupt politicians keep being RE-ELECTED? And on it goes.

There aren't any because nobody wants to face arrest by the local Sheriff or his deputies for intending physical harm to someone. This isn't 1770 and the laws we have on the books no longer allow such things under threat of arrest and incarceration. But you knew that.
WHY do the same corrupt politicians keep being RE-ELECTED?
Because vested, moneyed interests keep funneling money into their campaign coffers to get them elected. But you probably knew that as well.
