WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says the economy is starting to show "glimmers of hope."
Obama commented Friday after meeting with members of his economic team, including Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (GYT'-nur), economics adviser Larry Summers and Christina Romer, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
Obama said he's starting to see things get better. But at the same time he cautioned that the economy remains under "severe stress."

The US economy WILL recover on its own if government doesn't get too involved. Our economy has enormous recuperative powers. They aren't not infinite but very large.
Government's role is to not spend us into bankruptcy by trying to fix a problem that will fix itself.
There's a time lag between cause and effect. What Obama's policies have done haven't been in the works long and so could in no way be responsible for any type of recovery in 2009.
What I'm worried about is that the same knuckle draggers who voted for him will think that his policies will have caused the recovery. The press will try to spin it this way. Just wait and see.

Wait until his disastrous socialism is fully implemented within a year and then we will have a total economic collapse. We cannot simply waste 4 trillions dollars in two months that we do not have and not destroy the economy. These trillions will be coming from massive tax increases and money printing which will lead to a super inflation.
