NEW YORK (AP) -- It sounds crazy: Just a week after the White House scolded Chrysler LLC for relying too much on gas guzzlers, the company is heading to a marquee auto show Wednesday to unveil a new SUV. Chrysler insists the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which clocks in at 20 mpg in its two-wheel-drive version and 19 in four-wheel-drive, is a crowd favorite and a crucial part of its lineup.

Hell, I wish they’d bring back the Grand Wagoneer!
My 1999 Ram 1500 had one. I never heard this term death wobble before.
I never knew this was common to other Dodge trucks. I just knew mine had it. I spent hundreds on front end alignments - didn't work.
I sold the piece of junk. Will never buy Dodge again.
We didn’t know what to call it either until we went on some truck forums on the internet. We saw videos of cameras placed under the trucks to see what actually happens, and it’s frightening.
It’s not exclusive to Dodge trucks, but it seems that most people who complain of it own Dodges. Also old Ford Broncos.
We ended up replacing almost everything...ball joints, wheel bearings, track bar, steering box, pivot arms, added a dual shock kit, replaced the tires, realigned it God knows how many times...
It has since stopped *crosses fingers* but we’re still leery. We don’t know what part fixed it, if it’s fixed at all.
Love those big old Jeeps.
Wish there were more of them around that haven’t rusted away over the decades.
It’s odd the feds and the tree huggers rag about the suv’s yet a pick-uo is the same size and weight but they don’t rag about them wonder if it’s because they own pick-ups?
Love my Jeep Wrangler. If I had the means, the new Challenger would be my top pick.
>> Heaven forbid they should give the people what they want.
I doubt it was conceived and created within the last few months.
I don't think that Camry is going to tow my travel trailer very far.

What an incredible website.
Thanks!
Mine’s a real good looker. Almost too pretty to take offroad, which is why I bought the Cherokee. The ‘76 has all the right stuff.
These are the same people who thought the real president was Michael Douglas' character on The West Wing. They probably believe that vehicles are developed during one hour episodes of Star Trek in the Holodeck. I have often thought that most of the MSM slept through science class, if they took any.
Drool. I had an ‘84. I still miss it.
