A recent directive from the New York State Department of Health is one of the latest examples of the deterioration of America's culture. Sent to the offices of the 900-plus cities and towns in the Empire State, it contained a newly created "Certificate of Live Birth" along with a single-page explanation of why it had been sent. The official document noted that a New York State court had ruled that same-sex "marriages" performed in "other jurisdictions" (such as in neighboring Massachusetts) "must be recognized." Therefore, stated the directive, "any married woman that gives birth in your district will have her spouse — male or female — listed in the birth certificate as the second parent."
Samples of the new form accompanying the directive contained space for the entry of the name of "Mother" and a second space for entry of another "Mother." No space for any father is provided. That's on another form available from the state to use in registering the newly born child of a heterosexual couple.
New York State now dignifies homosexuality to the point of considering two females as the parents of a newborn. And New York State is not alone in taking such action. The bedrock of any worthwhile civilization, the traditional family, has been undermined and has now been officially denigrated.
No government bureau would have dared circulate such a directive only a few decades in the past. A solid foundation of traditional morality would have made it impossible to even consider such a departure during past millennia. But America's culture is changing, and the gradual acceptance of same-sex "marriage" is just one example. But why is America changing?
The transformation of America's culture has much to do with the strategy laid out by a communist theoretician named Antonio Gramsci. His plan for subverting the non-communist world is known by far too few. Yet, what he advocated is occurring.
A founder of Italy's Communist Party in the wake of World War I, Gramsci soon became disillusioned at the party's fortunes because of the rise of fascist Benito Mussolini. So he fled to Russia in hopes of finding a more pure form of Marxism. The paradise he expected to find, however, turned out to be a tyranny controlled by the military, allied with police-state terror. Still anxious to build Marxism, he returned to Italy but was arrested and jailed under suspicion of being an agent of a hostile foreign power. During nine years in prison, he formulated a plan for conquering Italy and the rest of the Christian West.
Instead of hoping for a spontaneous revolution of the working masses, as many communists actually forecast, Gramsci proposed attacking the West's cultural foundations, thereby weakening the structure of those nations he wanted to conquer. If communists could undermine faith in God and love of family and country, he believed, the Christian West would become rootless and would be an easy prey for conquest. His plan called for infiltrating the cultural institutions — churches, schools, media, etc. — and converting them into instruments for change that would promote cleverly disguised Marxism and (in general) subvert the culture of the target country.
Gramsci recommended that communists should ridicule morality, decency, and virtue. He said that real heroes should be replaced by adulation of the equivalent of today's decadent rock stars and Hollywood favorites. Especially should communist cadres work to denigrate the institutions of marriage and family. While other communist leaders believed that the route to power involved politics, labor unrest, violent revolution, even economic warfare, Gramsci worked to sap a nation's cultural base and weaken resistance to communism's ultimate goal.
Antonio Gramsci died in prison in 1937, an almost forgotten man. But the nine volumes of recommendations he compiled during his years behind bars were later published as his Prison Notebooks. Issued in many languages, the Gramscian strategy has been employed very effectively in many countries, certainly including the United States. Especially did Gramsci point to the importance of gaining influence among the cultural elites to bring about a piecemeal triumph of Marxism that (for a country with a strong tradition of freedom such as the United States) could not happen through an open and sudden revolution.
Consider the harmful effect on America's cultural base of such forces as feminism, the homosexual lobby, extreme environmentalism, liberal historians who trash our nation's founders, and jurists and legislators who operate on the false doctrine that the U.S. Constitution was written only for a bygone age and modern government has all the answers for today's needs. Much of the attack on America's foundations has been funded by the elitists who gained control of the fortunes amassed by such men as Rockefeller, Ford, and Carnegie. While it is true that many Americans shrink in horror at the erosion of culture that so marked our nation, few seem to understand why it is happening.

Rise up and fight? What does that mean? I’m just as appalled and angry at what is happening in our country - but “fight”? Fight who? Do you mean literaly fight, physically harm those we disagree with? Self-defense I have no problem with, but it sounds like you are advocating civil war.
I’m all for aggressively argueing conservatism, being involved politically, and participating in public protests, but shooting someone - no. Not yet.

I don’t believe it to be restricted to a communist ideology though.

Everyday seems to bring on an even more extreme measure in ideology or legislation.
It is a cultural war and I believe they are deliberately trying to provoke the scattered remnants of true American society into literally fighting back.

The ideological chain of custody went from Gramsci, to the German communists in the Frankfurt School, and thence to America (the NAZIs kicked them out and the Roosevelt administration and American universities welcomed them with open arms). Prominent Frankfurt School "alums" were Abraham Maslow (putting "mental health" under medical control), Eric Fromm (radical feminism and family breakdown), and Herbert Marcuse (toward radicalizing state educated children).
This expulsion was in large part the result of the takeover of Berlin at the hands of the communist Spartakusbund led by Rosa Luxembourg, effectively turning the capital city into the German equivalent of San Francisco, a cesspool of strikes and sexual depravity. In many ways it was the Spartakusbund that drove people toward National Socialism.
Unknown to many is that this was the second wave of communist emigration to America from Germany. The original was subsequent to the aborted communist revolution in 1848. Hence were the open arms for the Frankfurt School in American universities.

Sounds intriguing. There aren’t enough affordable seats right now in the church based schools to accommodate all the people who want to take their children out of the indoctrination camps.

There are too many government teachers and school workers sitting in the pews. Not only that, but there are all the spouses and businesses ( and their employees) who indirectly who snuffle at the government school trough. Even my dentist and all his employees are very dependent on the government school dental insurance that walks into his office.
Few ministers are brave enough to bite the hand that puts money in the collection plate.
Instead, ministers and his congregant teachers will talk about “reforming” the government schools when, in truth, every teacher or minister who supports the government indoctrination camps **IS** part of the problem. Everyone of them is helping to drive a stake through the heart of freedom.
Another problem contributing to the lack of church-based schools is the Prussian model brick and mortar school. These schools are very expensive to open and run, and have **tons** of regulations surrounding them.
Solution:
Conservatives must **stop** looking to the churches for help. Conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) must start **NOW** to form independent education foundations to give grants to individual conservative teachers.
As for the brick and mortar school, we should abandon the idea. Most of nation before the 1950s were educated in very small one room school houses. My own mother, a resident of center city Philadelphia, attended a Catholic school with only four room! (2 grades per class) Instead, conservatives should fund the individual teacher, charge no tuition because that is what the government is charging, and sponsor very small one room schools, mini schools, and homeschool cooperatives.
By the way...Conservatives must work to get sports, theater, and the arts out of the government schools and into private sponsorship ( best) or under the control of the departments of parks and recreation ( better than what we have now). Sports and other non-academic subjects generate tons of “rah-rah” support for government schools in many communities.
Yet...Even if they do this, it is likely too late.

communist theoretician=some teachers in my granddaughters third grade class room is a word on the wall so the kids learn how to spell and the word is COMRADE I sheet you not no telling what else the schools are teaching the kids.
And I would know exactly how to start this up, fund it and run it. I spent two years as the President of a preschool cooperative. All we would have to do is get an online K-12 program. Piece of cake. Excellent idea.

I believe his adherents are on both sides and all levels of government.
It could be that your local homeschool organization is already doing it.
The problem as I see it is that people use the government schools for babysitting. Yes, people are willing to share homeschooling tasks but aren't willing to babysitting other people's kids for free.
Another problem, other than the gov’t school babysitter,
is the mindset that one should not have to scale back their lifestyle to sacrifice for their family. Thus, both parents HAVE to work, even though the second income, after expenses and taxes, adds only marginally to the family income.
