Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Thanks, Calpernia, and thanks to ETL for the additions.

Even if he was an old Bolshevik, we will destroy all his kin, his family. We will mercilessly destroy anyone who, by his deeds or his thoughts—yes, his thoughts—threatens the unity of the socialist state. To the complete destruction of all enemies, themselves and their kin!

Even the worst of the tsars never thought of punishing relatives for a criminal’s acts. But what is truly remarkable about this toast is the promise to murder people and their kin for thoughts. One must live in continual fear of one’s own mind.

Sounds like a “must read” book for all Americans who wish to push back the leftist tide here before it’s too late.

Ukraine was not famine stricken - it was stricken by Commie leftist genocide ... like I said, this book sucks because it covers up one of the biggest genocides of the last century

No, that assesment appears to be incorrect:
"Was the 1932–1933 famine in the Ukraine and elsewhere a natural disaster or a politically motivated, state-sponsored mass murder?
These were among the questions I hoped the Annals project would answer."

from the intro of the book itself.

This proves my point - another genocide denial book - just modern day Durantyism.

Went to the play, saw the movie, and read the book on Genocide Denial a long time ago.

I am still waiting for the book that comes out explaining how leftist genocide spawned World War II, Viet Nam , and the War on Terror...all this started with Marx, Trotsky, and Lenin.
