TEAM OBAMA: "Nearly 2 million jobs lost"
Townhall.com ^ | 04.03.09 | Kevin McCullough

In March the American workforce lost 633,000 MORE non-farming jobs. The full unemployment number is 641,000 and the new national unemployment rate is 8.5% nearly double what it was for the majority of the previous administration.

But since March is just a single month let's get a feel for the full picture since Obama's clock stated ticking. In February the unemployed persons number exceeded 851,000 additional jobs but the unemployment rate at that time was only 7.1% across the nation. February would be the only other month fully on his watch.

Not to worry. We are still importing 138,000 foreign workers a month thru work visas and immigration [green cards].

“Nearly Two Million Jobs Lost”

Is that why they’ve been partying at the White House?

IMHO

And this is just the first wave of terminated and abolished jobs. More to follow.

Carbon cap-and-trade, and extended taxation of the production and consumption of coal, will make the recession so much wider and deeper than what happened between 1933 and 1940, that the “Great Depression” will look like a rainy Sunday afternoon at the park.

Citizen, please conform to the new guidelines: these jobs were not lost, they were “un-saved”.

It is worse than the umemployment numbers portray. 13M unemployed is bad, add U6 and you have 22M unemployed or underemployed.

“If part-time and discouraged workers are factored in, the unemployment rate would have been 15.6 percent in March, the highest on records dating to 1994, according to Labor Department data released Friday.

The average work week in March dropped to 33.2 hours, a new record low.”

“In addition, the number of people forced to work part time for “economic reasons” rose by 423,000 to 9 million. Those are people who would like to work full time but whose hours were cut back or were unable to find full-time work.”

A more important number is that there are currently 13.2 million unemployed Americans. That is more than during the Great Depression when there were 11.4 million unemployed Americans.

This fact should be trumpeted by conservatives from now through Zero's next election. It's not about percentages, it's about people. Zero and democrats constantly compare Republican administrations to the Depression, it's far passed time they faced the comparison. More Americans are now unemployed than during the Great Depression.

High unemployment and going up, tax increases as far as you can see, destruction of the world’s greatest health care system, bogus “green” energy jobs, kowtowing to our global enemies, turning our back on our democratic ally in the middle east, unwillingness to stop Iran, bankruptcy of our ruined domestic auto makers, feds controlling pay for financial institutions and providing our car warranties, ...

Why in the world the stock market is on a bull run instead of heading for DJIA 4,000? I yanked my money out at 6,500 and lost out on this bull.

I can’t understand employers reluctance to hire! So Big Brother will confiscate your money, tell you what you’re permitted to make, even take your company from you. What’s the big deal? I mean, it’s for the greater good, ain’t it??!!

it would have been 2.9 million if not for the stimulus. There, Obama saved us 2.5 million jobs.

nope that won`t fly

the messiah can use the canard of “it`s Bush`s fault” and a HUGE majority will agree. he`ll use it and use it and 3 years from now he`ll still blame Bush unless of course there`s a huge market rally and the DOW is back at 10,000, then it`s his economic miracle and another term, this time in a landslide.

Why in the world the stock market is on a bull run instead of heading for DJIA 4,000?

Because the Market no longer runs on economic data, but on the whim of the Globalists. The intention is to raise the market till everyone puts in their last cent, then have a disaster that will wipe us all out. One nuke from Iran in any American city will crush the market beyond recognition, or they can simply declare bankruptcy on the American Dollar at will. One day you have enough to buy a car, the next, a cabbage.

People with money have a little leverage. Paupers are their slaves. Which one do you think is their destiny for us? Congress has already shown a complete distain of law and order. The market runs up on bad news. Is there illegal manipulation of the market?

Do bears... in the woods?
