Glenn Beck DESTROYS Richard Blumenthal (C.T. A.G. that set ACORN on AIG employees)
youtube/FNC/Glenn Beck ^ | March 30, 2009 | sickoflibs/Glenn Beck

Great constitutional moment on Glenn Beck/FNC: First he sets up Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal by asking him why he is not going after Sen Chris Dodd for his AIG campaign money. Blumenthal replies that that is outside of his authority as CT AG. So Beck grills him on : "What law AIG employees broke that gave him authority as AG to investigate and bully the AIG employees?" Remember that Blumenthal used(abused) his power to Subpoena the names of those that got bonuses and released them to public, sending ACORN bullies to their private homes to harass them and demand that money (their money) be given to USTtreasury. This is all after it turns out Treasury Sec. Geitner and Sen Chris Dodd snuck the bonus provision in the Pelosi/Obama stimulus bill(that democrats never read) , and Dodd got campaign money from AIG. No ACORN mob at their houses. No targeting of them by bully AG Richard Blumenthal.

Its amazing how defiant Beck is of the faux-god, how much further can he go? At what point does he "cross the line" so to speak? Would or could he bring up Obamas past? Or lack of?

Awwww...MAN! That was too cool!
Beck should run for Congress. At least you know where he stands.Nothing mealy-mouthed or vascillating about him or his views. Pepole have had enough, and the anger is reaching a fever pitch.

“round about way” ? “suckers people”?

My thoughts exactly!
Now...if you REEEEALY wanna "sucker people",it requires regurgitating hyperbole and rhetoric from a teleprompter while wearing expensive suits and a bleached smile.
THAT'LL get you a sucker every time.

Yes, and I don’t think enough attention has been paid, even by Beck in this interview, to the fact that many of these executives worked for $1 in salary. It was deferred compensation and the AG in the interview keeps saying they didn’t earn the money. When I heard this, it changed my opinion of the bonuses significantly.

Okay, I’ll admit I am totally confused by the publics’ attitude on this subject.

I’ve heard how outraged the majority was that AIG got a lot of bailout and how outraged they were to find that they used the money to pay bonuses

BUT

now those same people (?) are screaming that the government is a bully cause they are demanding the money back.

What gives? Can someone explain to me what’s going on?

Glenn Beck in this clip provides a useful service, however, it would have been better if Beck wasn’t so histrionic.

People here and anywhere for that matter can say what they want about Glen Beck...

Matter of fact I am not a big fan, but he does make the effort, he makes some good points, but he is not the end to all means in what we need to get cleaned up in this country...

That being said, he certainly nailed this Spitzer/Schumer clone to the flippin’ wall...

Which is what we need to do to every stinkin’ one of these elitist liberal/socialist asshats!!!

I believe we are getting very close to critical mass in this country...

I just hope we can carry this overall outrage to the next election...

That is absolutely where we need to take it (first and foremost) this time...

Need to get my blood pressure down a few notches...

RE :”I think the point is that a lot of liberals see Beck as an uneducated buffoon

Beck has a way of presenting issues in a way that the average viewer can understand, and he takes a non- partition position. Many House Republicans voted for the unconstitutional Pelosi/AIG 90% tax. No one in the R party leadership stood up and called this another democrat party power abuse. Instead it was Obama that killed the tax in the Senate with Reid although he hid it well by acting outraged.

If you like that video try Mr Jefferson (Nations founders and Ronald Reagan, where are you when we need you?)

Maybe there is a need to publically remind these apointed or elecgted officials that their tenure is but a fleeting wisp of vapor, regardless of their political affiliation...

We are rapidly coming to a point where people in this country are going to be part of the “duped” crowd, or be a part of the crowd that is going to go thermonuclear and flush the entire toilet of D.C. right into the Patomac and out to sea...

Don’t draw too many conclusions about my political affiliations or where I stand when it comes to what we need to do to correct these serious problems in our government...There are no problems with what is going on out in the real America that cannot be figured out...

We just have had a government out of control for the last 40 some odd years, with only a few glimmers of real hope, that only staved off the inevitable, because of the nature of the government beast...

There are some who deny that we are in some serious times, they don’t believe it is that bad...

But those very people would be shocked to find out when it does all fall apart, they could have been more aware and been part of the effort to try and stave this critial mass from going over the edge...

I really would like to avoid that myself at all costs...But I am only one...

There may be a few more out there, but I don’t see a lot of them...

Different people. Rush listeners for example were told from the beginning that these employees may have deserved these bonuses, but since the contract legally specified them , and democrats protected them by law with the Pork-u-bus package, the government has no business targeting these citizens to re-direct public outrage that should be pointed at them(democrats).

It worked for Obama, he is as popular as ever and the public in latest polls blame AIG types (ie bankers) for the bad economy. This is a communist technique when the policies end in disaster you have public show trials of scapegoats.

Perhaps it's time to turn the table on these thugs and start protesting in front of the ACORN offices. I'd do it today if there were an ACORN office in my town.

histrionic: adjective 1. of or pertaining to actors or acting. 2. deliberately affected or self-consciously emotional; overly dramatic, in behavior or speech. –noun 3. an actor.

It's FNC a commercial enterprise so expect that. Same with Rush. I like Neil Cavuto even better than those two, his interviews ask questions not normally asked. O’Reilly I cant stand for the reason you cite, plus: He is an drama opportunist that believes in nothing, except he wants his own taxes low, and regularly has his facts wrong.

If the bonus was still considered income then paying it back to the Treasury would be a credit. Since the tax amount would be a percentage of the bonus amount then there is a credit and that amount would be used to offset other taxes owed.

Notice how this lying RAT claims that the entire Congress approved the law that allowed the AIG bonuses when in fact it was only RATS in the Senate and three RINOs who did so?

Not that I’m surprised that he failed to credit all the Republicans who voted NO.

True (I too think republicans should exploit the fact that democrats passed the loophole alone in the stim package) . Republicans lost any moral authority on this when they supported the unconstitutional 95% tax by Pelosi that got killed quetly by Obama. This was pathetic and cowardly. They joined the lynch mob and democrats. Shows they learned nothing from past 4 years and didnt even change leadership.

Blumenthal has been thrown a beating by Glenn Beck.

BFD. Among the democrats of CT this will be viewed as a honor. He will receive nothing but sympathy.

Blumenthal, Victim of Dastardly Attack
by Vicious Right-Wing Radio Host.

Please remember that among his constituents, Senator Ted Kennedy was THE VICTIM of Chappaquiddick. The people felt SORRY FOR HIM! What makes you think that modern-day Connecticut is inhabited by voters any smarter than those in MA?
