It’s going to be a very, very grim four years; it remains to be seen whether or not anything at all even remotely resembling the United States as it has been understood since the Founding will emerge at the far end of this malignant and knuckleheaded administration. There is so far precious little evidence in support of hope, IMO.

You have to b a REALLY bad lawyer for the ABA to rate an ACLU lawyer as “not qualified”. Yet the zero thinks that he would be a good choice for America!

Does he TRY to come up with the worst possible people to put in these positions or is he just that incompetent?

Our Christian theology teaches that God is in control. Three SCOTUS nominees are coming up under the Obamanation’s watch. At the risk of sounding like a pat robertsonite, one must conclude that Obama is God’s punishment upon America for its sins, one of the most heinous being abortion

This is one of the foreseen consequences of those conservatives who chose to not vote in November or to advocate letting the Democrat win so the Republicans would “learn their lesson”. Elections have consequences far beyond the next election and appointing judges to lifetime posts is one of those consequences.

This is a “bait and switch”.

Dumbo nominated this sick scumbag Hamilton in order to throw a bone to the Republicans - - give them somebody they should have little problem defeating - - so that the next liberal activist Dumbo nominates will look “moderate” by comparison and will be that much more difficult to defeat.

Give Dumbo’s handlers credit - - they know how to play the game.

Although I have no doubt David Hamilton is a radical liberal, I’d like to see a link to that case.

Oh joy. I’ve already had my buns handed to my by Posner, I’m sure glad that I can look forward to a further buns-handling at my next argument.

Obama first Federal Court pick: (why doesn’t this surprise me?)

“The Senate Judiciary Committee should soundly reject him as an out-of-control radical who has no respect for the Constitution or the rule of law. With a liberal majority on this committee, however, it is likely that Hamilton will be easily approved and his nomination will then go to the full Senate for confirmation. With a liberal majority in the Senate, his confirmation is virtually assured.”

ABA BIASED ----National Law Journal

Excerpt from March 18th issue quoted at Volokh: "..... soon-to-be-released study by political scientists concludes what conservative groups have long charged: The [ABA] ratings [of judicial nominees] are biased against potential conservative nominees.”

The study by political scientists at three Georgia universities, reported on in today’s National Law Journal, is based on examination of all federal appeals court nominees from 1985 to 2008. Specifically, the study found that

“Nominees appointed by Democratic presidents are more likely to receive higher ABA ratings than nominees appointed by Republican presidents. The more conservative the nominee, the less likely he or she will receive a high ABA rating.”

I never thought this kind of crap would happen in my lifetime...but I was wrong. We really have to stand against this kind of persecution! Enough is enough!

Everybody needs to encourage their Republican senators to filibuster ALL of Obama’s radical judicial nominations.

Spread the word, start the movement. Even if it doesn’t stop Hamilton, it can be the beginning of stopping more in the future.

Not OK. Most of our country is Christian. We do not need judges like this.
