I can't find any web information yet, but there are reports a bomb has been found in a piece of Melbourne's electricity infrastructure. This is one day after Sydney suffered a major power failure. No definite link, but I'm wondering.
Forced earth day celebration?
Hmmm, keeping eyes and ears open.
standing by......
Where did you hear this from?
Anything on your sources on this, Cindy??
Breaking news on Channel Ten’s late news in Melbourne.
Step two after the fires?
Standing by here too.
Prayers for everyone’s safety.
I know nothing about it Uncle Ike...news to me.
None of the Aussie online news sites mention it.
No, they don’t - and they normally beat the TV news. But it was definitely reported.
Here’s a recent explosives article, but it’s not in Melbourne:

“Improvised bomb found in Australian gang war”
SNIPPET: “SYDNEY (AFP) An improvised explosive device was left outside the home of an Australian biker gang boss Tuesday, as a violent turf war in Sydney escalated.
Police said they found the device, which contained potentially explosive liquid, in a plastic bag outside the home of a Bandidos chief in the city’s west, following an anonymous tip-off.
“The bomb police at the scene believe the item had the capability of causing an explosion,” said Superintendent Garry Sims.
“If you think of the old-fashioned TNT stick, or the things you see in movies, it was nothing like that at all. There were no hand grenades, no military rounds. It was a liquid substance that’s being analysed.””
Yes, that’s definitely not the case I just saw reported. This is in Melbourne’s east. A firefighter has been taken to hospital, the bomb squad is either in attendance or on their way.
Do you have a url (link) to your news station?
Maybe they have something on the web site.
It just occurred to me - I’m a volunteer firefighter and I know how to access information on current incidents.
I think the incident is being described as a ‘HAZMAT’ - Hazardous Material - in Warrandyte Road, Ringwood North which has a fairly large electricity substation on it. 12 fire units are in attendance, which is a lot.

Could it have been this?
UPDATE 8:38pm: A FIREFIGHTER has been injured battling a 9700ha blaze in the state’s far east after a tree fell on him.
The DSE firefighter was making his way into the A-Up Track fire in the Croajingolong National Park, 20km southeast of Cann River, when the tree fell.
He was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment and the Rural Ambulance Service has confirmed he is suffering spinal injuries.
A DSE spokeswoman said he was undergoing scans in hospital and was “bruised and sore”, but it appeared he had not suffered any broken bones.
DSE Incident Controller Ben Rankin said the departments top priority was safety, and the DSE would conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.
Falling trees can be a serious hazard for firefighters working in our natural environment, Mr Rankin said this afternoon.
Crews had been working to halt the fires spread in its fifth day today, with burning out work on the western side of the track.
More than 30 firefighters, as well as a water-bombing helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft as well bulldozers and tankers are fighting the blaze.
