反対 was 0? Not bad. I cannot remember the last time that I saw a vote in either the Senate or the House that was unanimous.

It's my favorite car, even though it's not American. Quality. I imagine if you drove a Bimmer in the manner of an old man - a car designed for the Autobahn - and took good care of it, it could conceivably exceed 20 years. My appeal to them, and other fine German products, is their antithetical contrast to the throw-away society. Go green? Buy fewer durable goods: pay more for quality, and do so rarely. You still help the economy because you're paying more, albeit infrequently.
That's one philosophy, and it doesn't work of course for someone who gets a thrill out of the new leased car every couple of years. To each their own.

Even if you were a Communist or a Socialist in the Japanese parliament, you would have to be on some pretty strong crack cocaine to cast a vote that would amount to "Hey, Kim Jong il, sure, go right ahead, nuke my electoral district, be my guest."
It is fun to see the communists and socialists join the common sense members of Japanese parliament in a unanamious vote to tell off the North Koreans.
Of course, to vote otherwise in this current nationalist environment here in Japan would be akin to admitting one self as 非国民。 (anti-Japanese).

It seems our nation has already resurrected the once-popular word, i.e. 国賊. I've read that the head of the Social democrats (=communists) was denouncing our PM in the parliament for his "overreaction" to NK. Of course, she is a proper 国賊.

The North Korea government knows they have only one strength, everyone believes they are unreasonable dangerous loose cannon. Trying to "reason" is the very definition of futility.

Since 1984, I've had all my BMWs on the racetrack instructing other BMW owners in BMW-CCA car club track events. It's quite a car, including those made in Spartanburg, SC. (So they can be "American"). :)

Not my position to comment as a non-Japanese about her directly, but yes, certainly Miss Fukushima of the Shaminto Party could be lumped into that crowd, known as 非国民, at a most precarious time like this in all of Japan's history, and what with her imbecilic comments of late.

Judging from the situation so far, the U.S. administration appears to have decided it would be difficult to take any measures against a North Korean missile launch.....

My thoughts exactly.
Like Europe, South Korea wakes up and realizes the US no longer has the will desire or capability to be the world's parent.
We now eliminate threats by changing our terminology. We are not willing to stop North Korea so we give them our “permission” to proceed. grim LOL.

"The South Koreans have attacked the cowboy attitude of the US for years. Lets see how they like the limp wristed homosexual French US policy now theyve been so loudly calling for...." Exactly! Hey South Korea! We're a little busy these days... you're on your own. Good luck and write us soon!

Did the vote tally actually display that way, or were the numbers “photoshopped in” for the benefit of Western readers?

The words haven’t appeared yet on the Teleprompter, but when they do, Zero will be right there to let us know!
