Colin Powell was a big disappointment. A Secretary of State who didn't want to leave the country is bound to fail. However, I thought Condi Rice did a good job. I saw/read nothing that would say otherwise.

There's a big difference between political strategy and having a realistic understanding of what is going on. Recognizing that the guy is a socialist, communist, fascist, whatever, is not the same thing as offering the one sentence, "Bush is Hitler," political argument.

Horowitz makes some excellent points that deserve to be heard.
But he takes it too far. He's lost his bite.
Most presidents are "centrist and sober" most of the time.
That may be true of Obama much of the time, but such a pedestrian characterization doesn't capture the specific features of Obama's personality and presidency.
