We're nearly 24 hours out of Earth Hour and the media are already proclaiming it a success as Michael Bates pointed out for NewsBusters in a blog post earlier today.
However one prominent global warming alarmist reportedly didn't fully participate in the Earth Hour festivities. According to Drew Johnson, president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, global warming activist and former Vice President Al Gore left his lights for the hyped Earth Hour.

Perhaps he didn’t fly on the private jet during earth hour. Or at least had the common decency to ask at least one more person to fly on the plane, so it wouldn’t only be hauling two people around.
I turned on every light in the house. I turned on my outside lights and even hung my trouble light on my mailbox.
If hypocrisy is the tribute vice pays to virtue, Al must be virtue’s biggest tributary.
Jeepers.
We forgot all about it, we were watching a DVD on 46-inch HDTV screen with home theater blasting while wifey nuked some popcorn in the microwave. I’m pretty sure all the lights were on in the house.
Well, maybe next year if we remember.
He will have some excuse as to why his energy hogging mansion wasn’t dark.
They said some of the lights were out, so he will say that the rest of the lights had to stay on because they were tied in with the security system. Or some such nonsense.
Anyway, none of that matters anyway, because Al Gore buys his carbon credits. Since he is a multi millionaire, he can buy up whatever carbon credits are needed for him to be “carbon neutral”.
Besides, Al Gore has a planet to save. So he’s on a mission from the Almighty Himself to save the planet for the underling who know not what they are doing.

Really creepy when all the lights went out, knowing I am living among that many sheep.

I can’t believe no one got a video or picture of his house.
I should have hung those 10 year old icicle lights. I did start both vehicles in the driveway.
I was hoping that all of the caring & committed enviro-Nazis held their breath for that hour as well.
The Earth would be far better served if we converted most of the Environmental kooks, watermelons and man caused global warming alarmists to worm excrement..
That would REALLY nourish the planet...
Then we would REALLY see an explosion of “green”.....
We participated by accident. We were at a Boy Scout banquet and forgot to leave the lights on at home. We had plenty of lights and ovens running at the banquet, however.
