I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

I simply asked you because I have been listed by others as one of the most hateful and venomous of the anti-mormons, and you repeated that anti-Mormons were hateful. I only wanted your opinion of my posts- I have no beef with you.

Well, I always figured that the book of moron, false doctrines and bizarre covenents, and pearl not worth the price read like comic books... so it makes sense that a comic book read like Joey & his seven witlesses justification to live off of others tithes while gathering as many young ladies to his bed.

There are several replies and responses on that thread — you guys know me, I consider myself mostly civil, but that goes out the window when dealing with trolls and morons, er, mormons. Its not so much the messed religion, there are plenty of those out there, but the fact that they tell people that they are Christians. A flat out lie and one that makes my blood boil...

Perhaps you can show us an example of the "hatred and venom" coming from the "anti-Mormon brigade".
Mostly what I see here is Mormons posting their beliefs and "anti-Mormons" (as they are venomously and hatefully referred to by Mormons) posting documents from the Mormon Apostles and Prophets that might better explain exactly what it is that the Mormon Church really teaches or what they really used to teach.
I mean who should we believe about what Mormonism teaches, a bunch of anonymous freepers or the past and present apostles and prophets of the Mormon church?
FWIW I was taught some really weird stuff back in the 1960's while I was a Mormon, but today most Mormons will attempt to publicly disavow much of what I was taught to be "gospel".

You are naive if you think Mormons in the Vegas Valley do not play powerball politics, which politics certainly has a Mafia element in Vegas(I could write a book, believe me). Also, my interpretation is that because they think they are becoming gods, when Mormons do go off the reservation on power trips, they tend to do so in particularly harmful ways.

I only meant to call the assertion that anti-Mormons were the authors of Mormon caucus posts idiotic. I summoned you guys to my post because you were the ones I was defending (albeit for my own rhetorical purposes) from that ludicrous charge.
It is amazing at all the back patting and halo wearing while at the same time breathing hate and contempt for another faith!

Secondly the mormon church would rather spend big money to bring in BIGGER money....
Malls, Resorts, Giant Temples.....they don't have to bother with bars and such....Come on dude, you know this stuff.
