You are naive if you think Mormons in the Vegas Valley do not play powerball politics, which politics certainly has a Mafia element in Vegas(I could write a book, believe me). Also, my interpretation is that because they think they are becoming gods, when Mormons do go off the reservation on power trips, they tend to do so in particularly harmful ways.
