You’ve been throwing that term around and saying that the *anti-Mormons* have been posting *hatred*. Both terms are pretty vague. Got any links to specifics?

It appears that EXPERIENCES can be deceiving...

If one believes the Bible is correct, then, by that Standard, Mormonism fails the test.

If, however, you are convinced that the Bible is either in error, been corrupted or mis-interpreted, then you are free to believe whatever you wish.

That's funny. I've been called a "hater" and a religious bigot by Romney supporters on FR many times -- or at least, such has certainly been implied in many posts to me -- and I'm not on the list! I'm crestfallen.

If you don't believe it, go to any Book of Mormon & open up 1 Nephi 14:9-10. There, you'll see it teaches there's only two churches -- the church of the Lamb (which they see themselves as) -- and the church of Satan -- which is supposedly all other churches.

Wouldn't calling other churches *the church of Satan* qualify as *hatred* on the Mormon's part?

I wonder how the Mormons would react if I called their church *the church of Satan*?

That is absolutely sick. I know most FReepers, even non-Mormons would stand side by side with our Mormon brothers in battle and defend them to tooth and nail when it gets down to brass tacks.

I agree. Did my service to ensure they could practice as their conscience demanded and would take up arms again, as needed to protect them. It is sad they are so obsessed with the idea that every challenge to their belief system is a sign we are getting ready to send them to the concentration camps.

Why would the church have and “take” on the Mariott Corp? It was not founded by the church nor is it owned by the church. Timmothy McVeigh was a Nazarene, so what?

No, the point isn't simply that Bill Marriott is a Mormon. If you think that's all that's tied in here, you're off-base. The point is that Bill Marriott is currently serving as an Area Seventy and is a member of the LDS Church's Sixth Quorum of the Seventy.

Those are church LEADERSHIP positions. And LDS are known for keeping a tight control on certain moral concerns re: its leadership.

So why are they looking the other way here?

He is LDS. He re-joined FR specifically to attack us “antis” and was banned after a couple of days for trying to recruit Freepers to his forum (IIRC).

His first account was ‘gregwest’, his second was ‘spamlds’.
