North Pole Republican Rep. John Coghill I wonder what it is like to have Santa as a constituent?

But the bill is also a big priority for the governor, and Palin is not interested in a compromise.![](http://blogs.trb.com/news/politics/blog/assets_c/2008/09/Palin%20closeup%20NY%20with%20Uribe-thumb-425x300.jpg)

A tooth being yanked out of a kid’s mouth must be done under consent by a parent but they want this changed when a baby is yanked out of a kid’s uterus?

If Palin can’t get parental consent to pass, then she should compromise to get parental notification. Then wait for more friendlier legislators to be elected to pass parental consent. Its what happened in Texas.

Basic of common law — the parents have complete authority over minor children, up to and including them selling them for slaves, in jurisdictions where slavery is allowed.
When we supplant that parental law, ALL end up slaves to a state tyranny of some sort.

Don’t you need parental consent for other surgeries? Don’t you need parental consent to give aspirin at school? We know the priorities of the abortion-happy folk alright.
