Hey you...((HUGS))...very weird. It’s gently snowing and the sun is shining in the window. Just got some new pictures of Mt Redoubt’s eruptions....SPECTACULAR!! And so far no ashfall issues in Anchorage, altho lots and lots of air traffic has been majorly interrupted.
How ya doing? Packing started?

Good evening Sir Conor!
I am well, a little tired after a 10 hour day.
I have to work pretty early in the morning, so will not be here real late.
Did you have a nice day?

Snowy, sort of, Saturday Sortie greetings to all the Freepers out there. The much ballyhooed snowstorm has just about run it's course and if I try really hard there might be one whole whopping inch of snow out there. Fortunately the temp stayed just above freezing all day so most of the snow stayed as rain or melted as soon as it hit. That is the good news, the bad is that it is suppose to get down to the low 20's tonight so all the slush will probably freeze. Well it could be worse I guess.
Well anyways on with the pictures for tonight. I have a few pictures of German aircraft to wrap up the WW-I aircraft. So on with the pics.
First up a Fokker D.VII. The D. VII first appearred on the Western Front in May 0f 1918 and quickly established itself as the superior German Fighter.Over 1700 Fokker D. VIIs were produced by several German aircraft companies.
The appearence of the Fokker D. VII quickly led to the second Fokker Scourge on the Western Front. The D. VII was so feared that when Germany signed the Armistice they were required to surrender all of the D. VIIs to the Allies.
The first two pictures are from an event called Dawn Patrol at The National Museum of the United States Air Force a couple of years ago. This is flyable replica Fokker D. VII
Next up a German Halberstadt aircraft from the folks at Warbirds over New Zealand.
The next three pics are all from Warbirds over New Zealand as well and feature some WW-I German re-enactors along with some German aircraft:-)
First up three re-enactors pose beside a Fokker D.VII
Looks like a couple of the guys from the previous picture are busy manning a German Spandau machine gun while a Fokker DR. I Triplane flies around in the background.
Well I gonna use a French Nueiport Fighter here because I get to post a pic with a British Mk V tank and the German re-enactors with the MG.
Well y'all have a great week out there and we will see you next weekend, I hope
Regards
