Obama knows his ultra-leftist (Im being kind in the use of that term) will not sit well with the American people. Already there is a growing sense of his extremist views and his falling poll numbers show it.
However he is not above gambling the lives of American military in the vain hope of salvaging his presidency by capturing and/or killing Osama Bin Laden. This, the papers will proclaim, is something GWB didnt do. Yes, on that sad day, the Zero will be the eternal hero in the WOT.
Welcome to my nightmare.
You heard it here first.
Is Teleprompter ver. 1 back?
The O is bobble-heading back and forth at the morning news conference.
Do we stop supporting our troops and hoping for their missions to be successful when we dislike the commander-in-chief? I don’t think conservatives should have the same attitude towards the war in Afghanistan under Obama that Democrats had toward Iraq under Bush.
The O asks Congress to approve $1.5 Billion to Pakistan, yearly, for the next 5 years.
Sounds like The O is wanting to do some nation-building in Afghanistan.
Hey there...Kode PinK...WHERE ARE YOU???
Unbelievable! This isn't change - it's going to be a wholesale slaughter of Americans.
If I were in the military now, I would be looking for any way possible to get out and let the commie play his stupid games with some one elses life!
Does anyone know which unit or brigade is being sent as the trainers?
Obama’s plans are to be drawing down by the Congressional elections in 2010, and to be out of Afghanistan totally by the beginning of the primary cycle in 2012. That is a reckless timetable. Also, Obama is not sending in enough troops to do the job properly, instead relying on the State Department to do the work.
The difference with bush is he knew it was unpopular and did it anyways.
I don’t see the problem in stepping up operations in Afghanistan. Why is everyone so opposed to this? The surge helped us finally get a handle of things on Iraq so why not Afghanistan?
That said, favoring militia bands over a national army doesn’t exactly sound like a good idea. Not in a country controled by warlords vying for their own interests...
I am quite sure that the people of Afghanistan will realize that the Messiah has taken a personal interest in their fate. They will follow him in any direction he tells them they need to go. After all they need change over there as bad as we do here.
To prevent duplication, always use the source title. Thanks.
Every time he says, “Tall E bonn” the Banana Boat Song starts up in my head.
A close family member came back from Afghanistan two days ago. I learned:
1) The troops aren’t really fond of O.
2) The forces in Afghanistan need $$$ support.
3) When they have the “fallen comrade” ceremony and there are four caskets...THEY are aware that it is a “war”.
I just wanna know. What’s his EXIT strategy?
A year before US public support wanes?!?!?!?!? WTF? I thought the public was 100 percent against US involvement in Afghanistan — that is after all what the Demwits and the other leftwing demagogues have been preachin’ for most of the last decade!
