Threats to AIG: "We Will Get Your Children"
NBC Connecticut News ^ | March 26, 2009 | ANDREW PERGAM

Posted on 03/26/2009 7:25:51 AM PDT by rightwingintelligentsia

The anger in the threats against AIG executives is palpable.

"Get the bonus, we will get your children," someone identified only as "Jacob the Killer" hauntingly writes in an e-mail.

His is one of dozens of threats against AIG and its employees that were obtained from Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's office under a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC Connecticut.

Surprisingly, some of those making the threats left their e-mail addresses and phone numbers - making the job of law enforcement officers easier.

Here are some of the highlights (or rather, low-lights). We've cleaned up some of the nasty language, but you can use your imagination:

-- All you motherf***ers should be shot. Thanks for f***ing up our economy then taking our money.

-- Dear Sir: Ya'll should have the balls and come clean and give back the bonuses. I know you would never do this so the gov't ought to take you out back and shoot everyone of you crooked sonofb****es...I would be very careful when I went out side. This is just a warning. If I were ya'll I would be real afraid. Thanks, Bill.

Are you sure they shower in the morning? Most, I believe, sleep until at least noon.

The local NBC station is surprised by this? I did not watch their news over the weekend but I did see the ABC and Fox affiliates’ news and they were helping whip up the frenzy, if you ask me. They dutifully reported on the protests from angry citizens as if this was just a spontaneous outpouring of anger from taxpayers and unemployed people. No mention was made of the professional left wing agitators involved. The ACORN sign was even clearly seen on camera.

Someone should explain to these hairbrained numbnuts that Congress and the White House APPROVED the bonuses as part of the bailout agreement! IT WAS PERFECTLY LEGAL FOR THESE BONUSES TO BE HANDED OUT!

Wanna blame somebody - blame Barney Fwank and his democratic cohorts!

This is nothing new...Working in the defense business for a decade and a half...I’ve had protestors threaten me with the same treatement one more than one occation...HAd one group call every ohone at our place of employemnt with threats.

We’re lucky in that once the threat was made...federal authorities took over and made sure the threats were either valid or simple hyperbola(Which 99.9% of them were).

The left wing maggots will stoop to any known low and then dip below that if they think they can get away with it. For the most part they are weenies who don’t do so well when actualy confonted.

It would be interesting to know the politics of most of these AIG types getting bonuses. We're they all Cramers? So I'm not sure how sympathetic to be. I would say the Acorn crowd better be careful who they pick a fight with. Folks on the right tend to be more familiar with firearms and I would guess as a result more accurate.

From the article: “Surprisingly, some of those making the threats left their e-mail addresses and phone numbers - making the job of law enforcement officers easier.”

I don’t think it’s surprising at all... these are the morons union thugs and Move0n professional protesters who don’t have two brain cells to rub together.

The MSM is responsible for this. They’ve deliberately ignored the definition of “retention bonus” to get in lockstep with Bambi’s phony rage.

I’m thinking “well crap!” because here these guys are being threatened, vilified, and being denied even a [legal] defense (it seems).

The retroactive, punitive, onerous taxation these people have had thrust upon them by congress are contra-constitutional, by my count, EIGHT times!

Maybe they don’t deserve those bonuses, but I thought that Liberty, Justice, and Safety were Rights of the People.

Anyone who made such threats should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Words do indeed have meaning.

“This is just a warning” means that the two sentences, taken together, are an implicit threat.

The ghost of Jean Paul Marat stands at their shoulders. It always amazes me how some of the vilest, most brutal people can view themselves as “the good guys.”

Ping.

This is what's happening...mob mentality against a group of people who should have been innocent until proven guilty. I care about what is happening here, on the streets, and public reaction. Vigilantism, fascism, brownshirts a class warfare waged by the Halls of Congress. Congress has taken away the courts by their actions. This is dangerous.

Circumvented by the Congress when it was Congress that passed the law to honor those contracts.

Innocent people caught in the crossfire of political manipulation. Liberals are playing the public opinion like a fine violin.

The scary part is that the bad guys are the government. They have managed to shift public anger to the private sector and escape the scrutiny they so deserve. We need to see public non-violent anger directed at government.

We can clean out Congress in 2010. No incumbent should be reelected. If we send them back to Washington, we are the problem. If we send them back in 2010, we are lost...
