Read: I am quitting because I am not getting my taxpayer funded bonus...

Tired of the socialist whining from people who believe that our tax dollars should go to execs of failed companies.

Even more tired of the socialists who try to liberalize/rationalize why tax dollars are funding bonuses for failed execs

I had a suspicion that the brouhaha over the AIG bonuses, was another case of the Dems trying to have it both ways.

Until I saw this letter, I had no evidence, since the MSM isn't about to say anything good about the people who work at AIG.

It's clear that the people who were supposed to get the bonuses, were not the people who collapsed the company.

Just another case of the Dems and the MSM trying to rouse the rabble against Capitalism. Unfortunately, they've done a pretty good job.

This is not a tax-deduction gimmick; I simply believe that I at least deserve to dictate how my earnings are spent, and do not want to see them disappear back into the obscurity of A.I.G.’s or the federal government’s budget.

I like that! He doesn't want to see the money go down another black hole!

Great letter. Puts the blame on the new CEO for not standing up for them. They should get the guy from Strassbourg who took on the PM this morning — ‘You have spent all we have.’

Such a pig-pile in Congress; disgusting.

Having read the entire letter, and assuming he’s telling the truth, I commend, and empathize, with him.

Many of the employees have, in the past six months, turned down job offers from more stable employers, based on A.I.G.’s assurances that the contracts would be honored. They are now angry about having been misled by A.I.G.’s promises and are not inclined to return the money as a favor to you.

So how many here can afford to work for $1 a year salary and a bonus that may be snatched by FedGov, because you feel it's the right thing to do?

Excellent letter.

The politicians have paid off their big shots and villianized the people left to take the public eye off their communist programs.

The only real motivation that anyone at A.I.G.-F.P. now has is fear. Mr. Cuomo has threatened to “name and shame,” and his counterpart in Connecticut, Richard Blumenthal, has made similar threats — even though attorneys general are supposed to stand for due process, to conduct trials in courts and not the press.

If some nut case does anything to any of these guys or their families, those little political parasites Cuomo and Blumenthal should be brought up on criminal charges. Throw in Barney Frank too so they have have a friend in the slammer.

Good for you. But if your company is bankrupt, whether it’s your fault or not, it would be better to leave that company ... especially if your company is taking taxpayer dollars to pay your salary. Not only is it wise for you in the long run, it’s the only honorable thing to do.

The fact that you have earned your salary is not at issue. You have.

The fact that your employer did not stand up for you is not at issue. They didn’t.

But staying on at a banrupt company and receiving your salary from taxpayer money is dishonorable, not because you are dishonarable, but because you are working for a dishonorable company who is fleecing the American taxpayer. That’s why you should quit.

Hopefully your colleagues follow suit.

Howver, the real issue here is not your salary, your hard work or your integrity ___ the real issue is there never should have been taxpayer bailouts in the first place and there should be NO MORE BAILOUTS in the future.
