Yet another avenue of attack for those who want to stifle opposition in creation of their dystopian police state.

Does he allow his wife to drive and talk with friends? Our does his desire for control just cover the world outside his home?

He seems to have forgotten what the Internet is for.

He agrees it was a stupid thing to say. It was nearly as stupid when he e-mailed the democratic plan to destroy Bush out to everyone. If it hadn’t been for the major networks running cover for him, this tool would already be history. This is one more example of why we need to use this medium to expose these tools.

Not really what he said. He said [paraphrasing] ‘perhaps it would have been better if the internet had never been invented’. Subtle difference ... wishful thinking perhaps.

I think he means that the internet should only be used by ‘people of quality’.
A true chip off the block from old John D. I’d sure be grateful if he flipped me a dime for a shoe shine.

The Internet started out as a means for scientists in the Defense Department and the universities to share and discuss their research (the ARPANET).

So maybe he would prefer the carrier pigeon and the pony express?

Freedom of association and free flow of information has always been deadly to tyrannies.

No wonder Rockerfeller doesn’t like it.

I can’t youtoob at the office but I’d wager that the mindset isn’t that the internet is “evil”, it is just that the “public” should never have been granted access or permitted to know it existed (which it had for DECADES).

Students in technical fields got their exposure generally by college (I first saw it in 1983).

Ahhh...but it was and by the illustrious Al Gore. Ha,ha. It’s great it was invented...it has given the public an insight as to what has been going on behind our backs for years. No longer, Jay. The public sees and remembers. We are ALL aware now. Kinda scary huh? I’d LOVE to see them talk censorship of the Internet. They think they have problems now with the public and tea parties and the like. NO ONE wants to see the Internet go.

As the corrupt Obama administration is showing us, the tax code is not consistently applied to tax cheats.

The government is an organized criminal operation. Same as Capone’s.

It’s one thing when all members of law enforcement are upholding the law, but as soon as a crime figure sees that it isn’t so pure in practice, respect for the law goes out the window. It’s one crime figure making business arrangements with another crime figure (only one gang has higher authority with the public).

Ultimately, this has as much to do with government control of the internet through a series of taxes designed to raise revenue as it does with censorship. However, silencing free speech, especially political free speech, is a major goal of the liberal establishment and what motivates the lefts ongoing activism.

Rockefeller is a tyrant. But this medium was giving to us with the blessing of Bill Clinton and Al Gore. I was dubious at their “information superhighway” press conference way back when, thinking it was just more inane press hoopla and PR.

Couldn’t have been more wrong. That in itself makes Clinton a better president than this monstrosity.
