Agreed, and I was basically just having some fun at Krugman’s expense. However, I do think it’s significant when Obama’s plans create a left/right consensus around the fact that they won’t work. It’s true that Krugman thinks the government needs to get more involved, and conservatives the opposite, but the bottom line is similar: fail!
