The Obamas to eat what they grow
The Obama family plan to eat what they grow in the White House in the future
US First Lady Michelle Obama is set to break the ground for an organic garden on a patch of the south lawn to grow produce for the White House kitchen.
Local primary school pupils will help her with the planting and harvesting of the vegetables, herbs and salad crops.
Promoting healthy eating for American families has become a part of the first lady's agenda.
She has promised her whole family will be getting involved, and even President Barack Obama will help with weeding. Mrs Obama hopes that inspiring children will help spread the healthy eating message to others.
"My hope is that through children, they will begin to educate their families and that will, in turn, begin to educate our communities," she said in an interview in her East Wing office.

This sort of makes one want to have a cigar, a couple beers, and a big, juicy double cheeseburger with fries, doesn’t it?

So she isn't going to be supporting local farmers and current produce contracts? Too bad for them huh.
Of course the exception will be the nightly lavish parties they throw - can't expect a little old family garden to produce enough for their big shindigs.

How organic-—will they be composting their WH waste in this garden as well? WEll not all the waste...that would be way too much and too toxic.

I really doubt this.
It seems like another ruse...

Has she been living under a rock her whole life? She has never gardened before and she thinks that she is going to grow food for the masses on the White House lawn.

They tell us to quit being so tight and spend some money, but then they start plowing up the White House lawn to plant a victory surrender garden.

So could Obama lose the White House because he is growing his own food? Some small farms and organic food growers could be placed under direct supervision of the federal government under new legislation making its way through Congress. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2209412/posts

Perhaps the agrarian White House reforms will be along the lines of your typical African abode:
The women till the fields until dark while the men lay in the shade drinking sorghum beer and smoking.
