Almost 40 years ago, one of San Francisco's finest was murdered in a bomb blast. Yesterday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., a former FBI informant, a former San Francisco police sergeant and an investigative reporter said they know who killed Sgt. Brian V. McDonnell on Feb. 16, 1970.
The San Francisco police officers association also nailed the suspects in a letter.
All signs point to the Weather Underground and its leaders, Bill Ayers and his bat-crazy wife, Bernadine Dohrn.
"There are irrefutable and compelling reasons to believe that Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn ... are largely responsible for the bombing of Park Police Station," the police union's letter says, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
"The letter, dated Feb. 24, is signed by union President Gary Delagnes, Vice President Kevin Martin, Secretary Tony Montoya, Treasurer Martin Halloran and Sergeant at Arms Christopher Breen," the Chronicle reported. (For the record, this report is a hack job that tried to discredit the police officers, the FBI informant and anybody who believes that President Obama's buddy, Billy Ayers, would do such a thing. None of this is surprising, given the Chronicle's position as Obama lapdog and apologist for radicals like Ayers.)

They need hard evidence, not “compelling reasons” to prosecute. This looks to be like another Obama Birth certificate deal.

I remember wondering if I would be ‘collateral’ damage simply by walking in ‘areas’ that they considered targets.
IIRC, Ayer’s fingerprints were found in the Berkley bomb making “factory”.....an apartment.

S.F. police union accuses Ayers in 1970 bombing
"...The union leveled the charge in a letter to a conservative organization lobbying for arrests in the case, but said it had not been in contact with investigators and had no new evidence related to the bombing, which killed Sgt. Brian McDonnell.
Instead, the union cited information from a former Bay Area resident, Larry Grathwohl, who is working with the conservative group, America's Survival Inc. of Maryland. Grathwohl asserts that he infiltrated the Weather Underground as an FBI informant and heard Ayers confess to a role in the bombing.
Ayers has denied any involvement in the bombing and, in January, called Grathwohl a "paid dishonest person" in an interview with The Chronicle..."
Unless Grathwohl has a confession on video tape or other evidence this goes nowhere and it makes no difference how much they dislike Ayers or the Chronicle.

there is no statute of limitations on murder, and a case can be reopened...and it doesn’t hurt our cause to remind everyone that this murdering bastard is out there and has ties to the Zero...I’ll take anything we can get...I mean, why be so pessimistic???

I’m sorry you feel that way...I understand, but I am truly sorry that has happened to you...I hope something turns up that will help...I am a pretty old guy now, lived through this muderer’s hey day and would like to see him get anything...even a parking ticket...just make him drag his sorry ass through more bullshit, just something else to put his arrogant ass in a jam...I don’t know who will make money on this, (someone always does) but...personally, I hope that he will pay some dues for something now...I know he’ll pay for it later...

Well, Mr Ayers has some earning up to do for the bombing that took place at the Gulf building in Pittsburgh Pa numerous years ago too!
