Well, they steal the jobs that ‘nobody wants’ now they want to steal real estate fees on transactions that will occur through the 800 Billion Dollar buyouts which will churn housing.

IIRC the standard is “will it cause confusion in the mind of the consumer”.
98+% of those responding to the poll say no.
Gotta go with the majority on this one...

Adam Scoville, Re/Max's legal counsel, said he can explain. First of all, both names start with "r" and have logos with accent lines near the letter "e," he said. "It goes beyond that," Scoville added. "If you chop the top off of the 'h,' you (almost) have the 'm' in Re/Max. The next letter is an 'a,' and if you take the 'v' then you have half of an 'x.' " Mr Scoville may be excused for attempting to explain his theory after six double Dewar's rocks one night.
Next week: Scoville goes on Sesame Street to explain how an A can become a B, a B can become a C and so on.

When I voted, it was 98% No, and 1% Yes. Loser pays would cure this.

Well other than both names starting with re that is the only similarity I can see. And one of the names has a hyphen over the re which further makes a difference. Don't get this one at all.

I am going to sue Firefox since they clearly have used my Freedumb2003 name.
Look, they both start with an “F”, they both have vowels and the letter “r” and if you replace the “2003” with “fox” they are clearly confusing to anyone.

It’ll come down to the origin of the name. If it’s a created name, rather than belonging to a principal or something, they may have an issue, silly as it sounds.
It’s really just harrassment over the commission structure. But, Re/Max wouldn’t benefit at all from filing a genuinely frivolous lawsuit.

gee, i can hardly see the difference.....

Re/Max, a national real estate franchise, is challenging the agency's filing, saying the Rehava name and logo design are too similar to its own. In other news, Fidel Castro has filed suit against Mark Cuban.

Yes yes! I see it! The plagerized logo has straight lines and angles, just like the Remax logo!
