Actor and media personality Stephen Baldwin says the “vulgar and offensive” content in Hollywood productions is one reason why the United States now has such high rates of unemployment, suicide and teen pregnancy.
“The fact that they churn out more content that is gratuitously violent, sexual and vulgar, when in fact more family programming and animated films make more money – there’s your agenda problem,” Baldwin tells CNS News.
Baldwin, attending last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington to sign copies of his new book, “The Death and Life of Gabriel Phillips,” tells CNS News that Hollywood produces too many anti-family films while pro-family films are the ones that sell, and that Hollywood is wrong for saying it’s “solely up to the parents” to control what their children watch.
“We’re allowing our culture and our youth to be a assaulted by the derogatory content in Hollywood,” Baldwin protests. “There’s a moral issue that is far more important that we need to start making noise about more than anything else.”

Some of my fondest memories involve sitting in front of the TV with my parents watching wholesome, family oriented programs.
Anyone who has done a google/research on “The Frankfurt School” and “Critical Theory” knows how this came to be. In order to destroy America, the culture had to be destroyed, and the takeover of the media was one of their objectives for the purpose of destroying the American culture that was in existence in the 1950’s/1960’s.
A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

As a Christian and an econ nerd, I have to say I’m baffled. This is like when Obama said that our economy was tanking because we don’t have universal socialized health care.
What has Hollywood’s horrible output to do with unemployment, suicide rates, or illegitimacy?
Sleaze from Hollywood caused the government interventions (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, capital requirements for banks, licensing, ratings agency requirements, etc.) that hurt the financial sector? Showgirls led to the Community Reinvestment Act? Lenders needed to see Dennis Franz’s keister before they would start pushing bad debt onto consumers via Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae?
As for suicide rates—what is he talking about?
Illegitimacy is exacerbated by the welfare state replacing fathers and passing the costs of child-rearing onto tax-payers rather than onto those who actually pay for childrens’ upbringing.
Stephen is exactly right. Culture is the key to winning our country back to where it should be. Conservatives need to make their presence and values known to a wider segment of society. We need to counter the lies that the liberals tell to smear us and our ways. Only when the true spirit of conservatism is revealed as truth to the masses will our country turn around to the right.
