Democrats nearly double Limbaughs audience
by Dan Spencer
Saturday, March 7th
The Democrats’ conspiracy to demonize Rush Limbaugh, directed from the Obama White House, has the talk radio icon laughing all the way to the bank.
Fridays U.S. News Political Bulletin reports Rush Limbaugh is a clear winner this week:
His ratings have nearly doubled since his feud with the White House burst into the media limelight.
Byron York asked Rush about the effect the Democrats’ plot has had on Rush’s business:
The latest numbers I have are for January, well before this kerfuffle began, and they are through the roof — six shares in NY, for example. There are daily ratings taken now in about the top 15 markets but I have not seen them yet. All I can tell you is that as of January, we booked 80 percent of all our 2008 revenue and we’ll be over 2008 by the end of this month.
According to Talkers Magazine, since the Democrats’ conspiracy was put in motion, Rush’s audience has grown from 14 million to 25 million.
As Chris Matthews said the Democrats’ plot is a great stimulus program.
Yeah, remember that crybabying incident to KMOX St. Louis while on Air Force One?
My best Rush memory.
Democrats, huh. How many of them do you suppose will be "corrupted" by the truth?
Rush always said that you have to listen more than once to finally be in tune with the show. I remember the first time I heard Rush...it was on a Sat afternoon, Aug '88 in front of the old Tom Thumb groc store at NW highway and Lake Highlands drive. The first thing that I heard was "This is Rush Limbaugh, with talent on loan from God"...at which point I turned of the radio. What an arrogant asshole.
The next Saturday, I listened in again and stuck it out for the whole show.
I haven't missed a show since.
So....friends, Rush will pull in a lot of former 'rats who only think they are liberal, but just may find out that then are really free market conservatives.
Yes, fellow freedom lovers, this "demonization" of Rush just might not be exactly what pres Zero had in mind.
A six share in NYC with the 50 something stations we have is absolutely through the roof. In NYC we now have three active conservative stations. WABC with Rush Sean and Mark Levin. WOR with John Gambling in the AM and Glenn Beck, Savage and Steve Malsberg and 970 with the Townhall crew like Bill Bennet, Hugh Hewitt and Praeger. All three are making money. If this is happeneing in the Apple something may be happening in the country.
Probably some of each, but once people who have a negative opinion of Rush based on what others have said about him actually start LISTENING to the man, a fair amount of them can't help but be converted.
1) a huge number of converts to conservatism
or
2) a huge number of RAT listener deaths because their heads exploded.
I think you are right ‘bout that! :)
“This increase in Rush’s audience will result in one of two things:
1) a huge number of converts to conservatism
or
2) a huge number of RAT listener deaths because their heads exploded.”
It’s a win-win!
priceless...it seems the obama presidency screws up everything it touches...BAWHAHAHAH
I almost welcome the reintroduction of the "fairness doctrine" just to see what Rush would do. He has been thinking about this for a long time and I know he has a contingency plan. I wonder if his syndicator, or Rush in partnership or by himself, would launch a satellite? Or maybe just buy into Sirius. Or maybe go offshore or just on the internet.
and one arm tied behind his back!
This administration is like they took some punk off the streets of Chicago.....??
Oh, wait......
Keep on truckin' Rush!
This is so hilarious, the RATS have to be mad enough to chew nails! LOL!
Give em’ hell Rush!
We have Rush to thank for the Republican Revolution. By golly we might just be thanking him again in 2010.
The vicious left-wing attacks on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin may have dented the public perception of Palin (and she made her own mistakes, too) but, even though the hapless John McCain lost the presidential election, the end result is that Palin is now more appealing to conservatives and definitely viable as a possible GOP presidential nominee in 2012, although she'll have to fight for it, as any contender should. I think she has a real shot, if she wants it and I hope she does.
Now, Rush Limbaugh is reaping the benefit of gaining more listeners (and sponsor dollars) by the stupid attempt of the Rohm Emanuel-led gang to demonize Rush. It failed - big time, and the diversion hasn't played well in America.
Where the lefties that come up with these schemes make their error - and always will - is by assuming that conservatism is bad and that a majority of Americans hate it and will firmly reject anyone, be they politician or radio star, that embraces it. That is absurd - but don't tell them.
Unfortunately, too many RINO's and, apparently, the new Chairman of the RNC, believe this fallacy. Michael Steel's lame attempt to quickly distance himself from Limbaugh and demean Limbaugh's solid and inspiring message of conservatism when it was presented to him as something negative by an Obama-worshipping leftist (D.L. Hughley on CNN) demonstrated that Steele buys into the liberal lie that political conservatism is something evil that exists on the outer fringe of politics and should be avoided at all costs. His bland 'apology' didn't really alter that perception. Mr. Steele really fumbled that ball. A huge disappointment that I hope he can rectify.
Still, the fact that Rush Limbaugh is gaining millions of new listeners is encouraging and another example of how leftist attempts to 'destroy' Limbaugh, and there have been many over the years, all fail. Fortunately, the lefties never learn and now that they have their Alinsky disciple in the White House and effective voting control of congress, they are quickly becoming drunk with power, showing their true (totalitarian) colors to a formerly apathetic American public and making stupid mistakes. May this continue.
It seems to me that conservatism works on both sides of the aisle. It also seems like the far left has really shot themselves in the foot and are now proving once again that America is basically a conservative nation.
It’s the lefties that are working themselves into a frenzy; certain Democrats are starting to wake up to a brand of conservatism that they had all along. It also helps that their Messiah isn’t what he told them he was.
Finally Rush has a way of helping certain bleeding hearts get over the racist guilt so conveniently placed on them by the main stream media and the race baiters.
I bring up Rush in conversations often and use the person's reaction as a litmus test of their maturity level. You would be surprised how childish adults really are deep down.
decadence, on air
