Democrats, huh. How many of them do you suppose will be "corrupted" by the truth?
Rush always said that you have to listen more than once to finally be in tune with the show. I remember the first time I heard Rush...it was on a Sat afternoon, Aug '88 in front of the old Tom Thumb groc store at NW highway and Lake Highlands drive. The first thing that I heard was "This is Rush Limbaugh, with talent on loan from God"...at which point I turned of the radio. What an arrogant asshole.
The next Saturday, I listened in again and stuck it out for the whole show.
I haven't missed a show since.
So....friends, Rush will pull in a lot of former 'rats who only think they are liberal, but just may find out that then are really free market conservatives.
Yes, fellow freedom lovers, this "demonization" of Rush just might not be exactly what pres Zero had in mind.
I bring up Rush in conversations often and use the person's reaction as a litmus test of their maturity level. You would be surprised how childish adults really are deep down.
I remember when Rush first came on ABC radio in NYC. I forget whose time shot he was given, but there was a lot of hoopla for his coming and I looked forward to it with interest. That first day, he set his agenda and said that he would not be having guests to interview. I heard that, and just stopped and looked at the radio — and said to myself “ No guests? And how are you going to pull that off”?
Well — I didn’t know Rush! All he had to be was to just be himself! He had a lot of his Gorbasms and Feminazi stuff and all, and it was entertaining, but it was when he came to a subject from a different angle than anyone else did, that I realized that this was indeed a unique person.
After a while I realized he didn’t NEED guests to operate. He just had to be himself to be successful.
And he still amazes me when he discusses a current topic from a different approach than anyone else. That takes brains and insight.
I bet the WH is having second guesses by now! HeeHee!
