Indications of an increasing migration to Mexico are seen in traditional sending states, bus stations, and vacant homes.
From families loaded down with bags and boxes full of their possessions to towns and villages crowded with long-departed residents, one impact of the declining U.S. economy appears to be Mexican immigrants calling it quits and returning to their home country.
No definitive studies have been done, but anecdotal information and informal surveys show that both legal and illegal immigrants are returning to the relatives they left behind when they came north.

Empty homes...foreclosures?
Sadly, some on the Border Ping List predicted this 4 years ago.
I find it very difficult to feel sorry for businesses in trouble because they profited from illegal activity for many years.
When the last one returns to Mejico, can we Americans pop up the hidden 50-foot border wall, collectively yell “Psych!”, and all have a good laugh?
Illegals?
Que bueno. Adios criminales!
Unfortunately the illegal alien criminals will be less likely to decide to return to their country of origin.
Adios, males cabrenos, fix your own country so you don’t have to drive all around here looking for a job.
Over 30% of our prison population are criminal illegal aliens. Tell them they are going back home. Mexico is going to have a civil war anyway. Just do it and be done with it.
Check this...it’s all our fault...

“Unfortunately the illegal alien criminals will be less likely to decide to return to their country of origin.”
You are exactly right about that. Mexico purges it’s criminals by sending them here.
We also will be getting many refugees from the border cities because of the continuing chaos in Mexico.
At least there will be that many fewer illegals who get citizenship when the McCain-Obama Amnesty Bill passes later this year. (Or even later this month, given how fast they keep pushing all this garbage through Congress.)
Tell then they are going home, then push them out of an airplane with 2 or 3 to a parachute and tell them that if they’re caught in our country again they’ll not have the luxury of having a parachute to share.
LOL!
I don't know about that. Most of the immigration law enforcement efforts these days are targeted at criminal aliens now. When an alien gets arrested for something the jail notifies ICE. ICE checks them out to see if they are illegal and if so they'll put a hold on them. When the county or the state or the city is done with these people ICE will usually pick them up from the jail and put them into removal proceedings or have them just sign a form to be deported. I can remember years ago seeing people plead to serious felonies and INS would almost never come and get them even though they knew these people were sitting in the jail ready to be deported. Now they are deporting people arrested for piddly little misdemeanors. They're picking them up from the jails, showing up at court and busting illegals, showing up at probation offices and arresting people visiting their probation office. They're popping the illegals and even green card holders who have gotten in serious enough trouble to be deported. The main thrust now is to go after the criminal aliens. This is a huge change from the way things used to be just a few years ago when I'd see INS refuse to pick up even people who had been convicted of things as bad as molesting little kids.
When these people are deported now they are warned that if they sneak back in they will be charged with illegal reentry, a federal crime that can carry up to a twenty year prison sentence with no possibility of parole. We are actually seeing record number of “illegal reentry” charges being filed. Word about this is getting around to illegals. A lot of more of these criminal aliens being deported now are taking their families with them with plans to stay put in Mexico, or whatever country they are from. Still because of a lack of resources only a minority of those who sneak back in are popped for illegal reentry. We should step that up, especially when it comes to criminal aliens. We want to discourage all of them from coming back in after we deport them, especially the ones we know are breaking a lot of laws besides just coming in illegaly.
BUMP!
I remember that picture...
