If you can help ChicagoLady, please do so now!
I’m not in Chicago, but I’ll certainly pass the word on to friends who live there!
Done. It wasn’t much, bit if we all chip in a little, she’ll be helped considerably.
Folks:
There is no rule that says you must be from the 5th District to contribute. If you do send money, include a note that you are a FReeper.
Big numbers of donations directly to CL from rock-solid conservatives would give her camp some leverage on the RNC.
I’ll be sending in a small amount today.
Thanks for reminding people that anyone can help Rosanna. I live in Northfield, but I drove to her district, five days, to walk precincts, for her.
I think she has a chance.
Info on Squiggley Quigley - Pulido's Dem opponent
Here is a nice little post by the Chicago News Bench about Rosanna's new Democrat opponent:
(excerpt)
Immediately after winning his party's nomination, Quigley launched into a dogmatic chant of meaningless drivel designed to keep Democrat voters in a state of hypnosis. Currently a commissioner on the scandal-ridden, high-taxing Cook County Board, Quigley made this bizarre statement:
After all the recent embarrassments, this was first chance that the voters had to voice their desire for change and they spoke loud and clear, Quigley told the Chicago Tribune. They came through for me, and now I have to come through for them.
Now that's a pant-load. Is that the same Mike Quigley that Democrat Sara Feigenholtz trashed in her failed bid to win today's primary? Why, yes, it is! It's the same Mike Quigley who has consistently been a part of the problem that he falsely claims to have battled. It's the same Mike Quigley who has fought real change in the corrupt Cook County government and worked to preserve the status quo of the Stroger Empire. Change? Right, sure.
According to SEIU-backed Feigenholtz, Quigley is a water boy for Cook County President Todd Stroger. In a televised Feigenholtz campaign ad, a male announcer says this about Mike Quigley:
Mike Quigley? He talks a good game, but he endorsed Todd Stroger. Even sending his county staff to help Strogers campaign. And Quigley voted for Strogers budget, cutting nurses and hospital workers to keep Stroger friends on the payroll." (See the Feigenholtz video and more about Quigley and Stroger here.) [Quicktime needed to view video.]
The next month will be fascinating. We will see a Green Party candidate pretend that he matters. We will see a Stroger-Machine Democrat pretend that he's all about change. We will see a woman of substance who is not afraid to tell the truth and speak her honest convictions drop all pretenses and come out swin(g)ing. By the time April 7 rolls around, the Democrat will be known as Squiggley Quigley.

Quigley talks a good game about being a “reformer”, but when push comes to shove, he falls in line with the Chicago machine like a good boy. Check out his primary opponent’s campaign ad pointing out how Quigley vowed to oppose ultra corrupt Cook County Board President Todd Stoger , then flip-flopped when Stroger won the primary and even sent his staffers out to help Stroger win the general election! And he supported Stoger’s take hike budget and stands by Stoger’s efforts to make Cook County a sancuary for illegal aliens:

Any chance we could “borrow” the ad, and add a announcement at the end saying: “Representative Sara Feigenholtz is right. We cannot afford any more phony reformers like Mike Quigley, who stood by Todd Stroger and Rod Blagojevich. Want Real Reform? Vote Rosanna Pulido for Congress April 7th”
I don’t know about “borrowing” it, but we can most certainly quote it liberally.
Pun intended...
McCain took an anti-Obama ad that Hillary ran in the primary (with a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen noting it was a Hillary ad), then deleted the “vote Hillary” stuff and added his own campaign pitch at the end. I think it’s legal.
Also, we need to confront Quigley right away and challenge him to debate Chicagolady.
