Auditor Rips Strickland For Not Turning Over Records

COLUMBUS, Ohio — State auditor Mary Taylor on Monday criticized Gov. Ted Strickland's office for not releasing Ohio's 2008 financial records in a timely manner. Taylor, a certified public account, called a news conference to point out the problem, ONN reported.

According to Taylor, the state's financial records are typically released in January and then audited by her office. She said that the numbers may not come out until June.

Taylor's announcement came as state lawmakers are debating Strickland's two-year, $54 million budget proposal.

"We believe that by not providing these audited financial statements, the Governor is not fulfilling the commitment to accountability and transparency that I feel Ohioans expect and demand," Taylor said.

Taylor warned in a letter to Strickland and Ohio lawmakers that she may have to declare Ohio unauditable.

The audits are required by law along with a balanced budget.

There was no immediate comment available from Strickland's office.

Is Strickland a Rep.?
Is this article negative about Gov. Strickland?

Does the article specify the party of Gov. Strickland?

You know the rule: if the answer to the first is yes, and the second is no, it is essentially certain that Gov. Strickland is a Democrat.

Gov Ted Strickland (D) Explains Why Birds Fly In A “V” Formation.
If you looked up at the sky as the weather turned cold and the birds headed south for the winter, you probably saw a flock of geese flying together in a V formation.

Many years ago a pastor asked his congregation, “Do you know why geese fly in a V instead of side by side?” And then he explained, they fly in a V because it allows each goose to reduce the wind resistance for the bird flying behind it. By flying in formation, the whole flock strengthens each individual bird, allowing each goose to fly vastly greater distances together than it could possibly fly alone.

"My friends, surely we are as smart as the goose." Gov Ted Strickland (D).

Gov. Ted Strickland (DEMOCRAT).

Good for Mary Taylor. She’d make a great Senator, but Rob Portman has the nomination.

Hopefully, Taylor will run for Secretary of State, another office in Ohio which needs to be cleaned up.

She was the only statewide (non-court) winner in 2006, over Barbara Sykes who I am inclined to think is a big moonbat.

Perhaps she can run for Governor in 2014 or against lightweight Senator Sherrod Brown in 2012.
