Hopefully, you’ll be able to increase attendance by a factor of 5 to 10. Wish you success.

We got 100 people to show up in freezing-ass cold with only four days notice.

This time there will be more notice and warmer temperatures.

We’re working on a formal agenda, speakers (maybe even someone national), etc.

Expect a larger crowd to show up.

I didn’t know there was a “people seeking freedom” category in the personals...

:-)

I don’t know my areas of “expertise”, but I contacted everyone that was involved with the “That’s a Family” video in Marlton (Evesham) NJ. Also, “Pfox” and other groups.

We had email lists, a web site and literally went door to door. I understand this is a bit different in many ways.
However, setting up a website is key because it can give people a place to go, sign up and check details when THEY want to. It turns the average person from “inactive” to “proactive”! Is anything like that set up?

Employment is not a prerequisite for attendance.

Thanks for your site - great resource! Do you have a link to any form letters where one could modify and mail to our state and local representatives?

Can someone please explain the significance of a tea party? Thank you!

Are you familiar with the original "Tea Party" in 1773? The one where the Sons of Liberty protested new taxes on tea, imposed by parliament, by dumping tea into Boston Harbor.

Stay tuned.

abb, thanks for the ping!

I would like to say to all, please do not be discouraged by others who tell you these Tea Parties are a waste of time. True we are quickly nearing the final stages of a democracy however together we can break the cycle of democracies, because we are a republic ladies and gentlemen, I say let us end this cycle here at apathy and proceed back to spiritual faith and on to great courage.

Tytler’s nation sequence:

• From bondage to spiritual faith;
• From spiritual faith to great courage;
• From courage to liberty;
• From liberty to abundance;
• From abundance to complacency;
• From complacency to apathy;
• From apathy to dependence;
• From dependence back into bondage.

Attend a Tea Party in your location to energize spirit. Write, call and fax your state and local representatives and demand they reign in the less than 600 federal tyrants destroying America.

Invite liberal democrats to join you for we’re all in this together and liberals do not equate to socialist.

The framers of the constitution left us with means of last resort to regain control of our country as citizens. It is a constitutional convention called by the many states for the purpose of adding amendments to our constitution. Around the beginning of the last century, a number of mistakes were made in adding amendments. One in particular, among others, was the addition of the 16th amendment which gave the feds the power of taxing an individual’s income. This action helped birth the federal monster increasingly encroaching upon our lives today.

We are a majority of “red” states and most individuals have not fallen into the dependency trap. Therefore we must fix the problem while we still can.

" If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves. " - Churchill

“Invite liberal democrats to join you for we’re all in this together and liberals do not equate to socialist.”

I agree with this. We’ll need all the help we can get. The stimulus bill puts everybody’s grandchildren in debt, and that is everybody’s issue.
