The first one was put together in four days and 100 people showed up.

With more notice, we expect a much bigger crowd.

We’re already working on signing up some speakers (some local, but we’re also working on some bigger fish, nobody firm yet but as they commit we’ll certainly put out some PR on FR [couldn’t resist that one!] as well as in other places.)

Capitalism *should* be shameless, as it is what has improved more peoples' lives than any other economic philosophy.

I expect to see a bunch of folks wearing them at the rally in April. I may just buy one myself. (Although you really ought to give me one at cost.)

Shameless quid pro quo for letting your post stay on the thread.

:-)

Can someone please explain the significance of a tea party? Thank you!
I have been trying not to pay attention to anything because I am tired of being driven crazy the the liberal media!

Will the Tea Parties have any effect on the White House policies or on how congress votes, or will the D.C. politicians turn a blind eye to these demands?

Great, more small gatherings that are not reported by the MSM and had zero impact, other than to make us feel good.

You guys don't get it. It's going to take much more than a couple hundred Patriots out in the cold at a few different cities to make a change with a SOCIALIST government in control of (2) of our branches of Fedgov.

They don't care..."they won". It is long past some corner demonstrations, which I also have been part of.

We NOW have to think outside the box. We have to pull ALL the conservative organizations together to build a massive coalition that is based in Constitutional principles and explicitly promote WHY those principles are the best for our nation and any society to the American populace. I'm talking advertising where ever we can afford it. We need to get the word out. We have failed so far.

We also need to contribute to Constitutional law firms who will find the "standing" and file suit against every anti-Constitutional legislation all the way up to the USSC.

Both of the above will take huge amounts of money.

Here's your choice: Either continue to send your contributions to the Republican Party and watch them piss away your money, OR, think about sending your dollars to support lawsuits that MAY or may not be successful, as well as, massive advertising!!!

I can guarantee if you continue to send your money to the RNC, it will be wasted. With socialism increasing by the day, how has your dollars worked so far?

Think a new strategy.

"...or will the D.C. politicians turn a blind eye to these demands?"

Of course they will. The socialists are now finally in total power. They care not about a few "Tea Partys". They are about their new order they have been designing for decades.

Below is my solution to the problem as I said on another thread:

Like everything else, they will ignore until it is out of control. The only way to get their attention is to threaten their power. States MUST refuse the porkulus money. If not, vote them out. In the meantime, civil disobedience is the first step. That means breaking unjust laws.

Example, Iowans were going to dump tea into the river. The state says No; it discolors the water and that’s pollution. Organizers give in. Did they back down in 1773 Boston? Would they have? No to both questions.

I totally agree that advertising is sorely needed and is effective. However, huge street demonstrations all over this nation would speak loudly as well. I remember reading Francis Shaeffer’s writings years ago in which he recommended street demonstrations as a way to safeguard our Judeo-Christian values which were just beginning to be bombarded by big media and big government. I believe we face a constitutional crisis in this nation which is bigger than any economic crisis and I do not believe for one second that all those Democrats in Congress agree with this madness. Those who do not need to stand against it for the sake of the very survival of this great nation.

I am surprised you did not choose the 15th... tax day! Apparently the 15th is the date for the national tea party... Saturday is good though I guess because I won’t miss work...

I plan on being there...
I will send emails around.

BTW, I live 20 minutes from Philadelphia and have never been to the “Colonial sector” of Phila! I will bring my kids and make a day of it...
Anything you need?

We chose the 18th because most of us are productive members of society and are working (at this point in the year for the government) on that date.

The 18th, coincidentally, is the 238th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride.

Send an email to Chris Clemency at the address shown in the notice. He’ll put you on the mailing list.

What are your areas of specialization? In other words, in what areas *can* you contribute?
