WaPo Reporter on MSNBC: Next GOP Nominee Must ‘Stand Up To Rush’
Newsbusters ^ | 3/3/09 | Kyle Drennan

At the top of the 12PM EST hour of MSNBC news coverage on Tuesday, anchor David Shuster spoke with Washington Post reporter Keith Richburg about the recent divide between Rush Limbaugh and RNC Chair Michael Steele:

"Following the latest Republican Party civil war. A complete about-face by Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, after calling Rush Limbaugh's show 'ugly' and 'incendiary.' Steele's now apologized in the face of a withering attack from the radio host." Richburg later observed: "You know, it's fascinating. It's like the circular firing squad. I mean, maybe this is what Rush had in mind when he was talking about ‘Operation Chaos.’"

The next GOP nominee will be another milquetoast RINO, unless the GOP grows a pair. Unlikely.

Why? It was the neo-cons and the Bushies that made the wrong turn, not Limbaugh.

Limbaugh, Santelli, Jindal, Palin and Sowell should pal around a bit.

How the hell does David Shuster still have a job, he is the same guy that said during the Democratic primaries that Hillary Clinton was “pimping” out Chelsea. I swear, MSNBC is full of disgusting creatures

I have absolutely not faith in Michelle Steele (yes, Michelle). To prove this, I will NOT contribute to the GOP while he's leading the blind.

I really mean it.

This is funny as hell. The Washington post would need to improve to approved as a grade school newspaper any more. This is so juvenile.

These pinheads think they are making points against Rush. No, they are destroying themselves in their quest to destroy Rush. He has stature, and they have none. What a hoot.

Yeah (smirk). Look how well that turned out for Michael Steele.

Look. Rush has been a conservative powerhouse since the 80's. There is a reason why he has millions of listeners.

Only a RINO fool will square up against Limbaugh.

Why? The MSM has already sworn allegiance to the other side, so why should the GOP listen to WaPo?

The posting of this topic by both pissant and newsbusters plays right into GOP hands. The more we talk about this “feud”, the less we are doing what we should, opposing Obama at every single step.

I’m sure a WaPo reporter wants to see the Republicans field a winning candidate in 2012. /sarc

You know what would be absolutely delicious....if the RNC announced that Rush Limbaugh has been asked to be the head of the party and has agreed to do so. The Rats’ howls of displeasure would be heard halfway around the world! The only thing better would be for Rush to be the head of the GOP.Can you say vapor-lock??? LOLOL

Why would any GOP candidate listen to a liberal reporter who supports marxist candidates? (Sorry, it's rhetorical)

Rush just signed a contract for $400 million. He’d be stupid to take a job leading the GOP.
