Another Obama Nominee Has Tax Troubles
The American Thinker ^ | March 2, 2009 | Larrey Anderson

The list gets longer. Ron Kirk, Obama’s nominee for U.S. Trade Representative, owes some $10,000 in back taxes. According to the Dallas/Fort Worth Fox News channel:

Ron Kirk, nominated as U.S. Trade Representative in the Obama administration, owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes from earlier in the decade and has agreed to make his payments, the Senate Finance Committee said Monday.

Despite the error, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, issued a statement calling Kirk "the right person for this job," and said he would attempt to have the nomination moved through the panel quickly.

Did you read that last sentence? Democrat senators in charge of vetting Obama’s nominees simply don’t care if the nominees pay their taxes. The nomination process, under this Democrat Senate, is blatantly immoral and borderline criminal. If this is politics as usual in America … then America is finished as a nation of laws.

Ron Kirk, is a racist, socialist jack@ss, and has the distinction of being the worst mayor Dallas has had recently, and that is saying a lot.

I remember his senate campaign from some years ago, played the race card constantly. He is a lawyer by profession, I guess he will writing trade deals. Joy!

(sarcasm)

Taxes are for those evil capitalist types, not those loving work-for-their-fellow-man government types. If they had to actually live by the same laws they write nothing could get done!

Cheating on your taxes during the Bush reign of error is a virtue. If you failed to withold payroll taxes for your nanny or chauffeur, you are a conscientious objector. If you fail to report rental income from your carribean mini-villa, you are protesting an unjust war that you voted for, and tax cuts for the rich. 10,000?! Why, this man is a hero!

Y’all have to admit - it takes some real talent to pick that many losers in a row.

Obama should resign as president and devote full time to running the IRS. He is much better at finding tax evaders than any employee the IRS ever had.

At this rate we can solve our deficit problem. We need about 4 trillion more nominees however

Does it really make a difference? After all, I thought it was a REQUIREMENT to be a criminal of some sort to be in 0’s administration.

And another member of the nomenklatura gets his special priveleges.

I’ve read several articles about this and haven’t yet found the answer to a basic question:

Did he take a tax deduction for the DONATIONS?

Every article reports his failure to report the income. If he took the deduction, it makes it a lot harder to “justify” his “forgetting” the income.

Has anyone seen this answered?

Kay Bailey says she supports him. I called her office and told them that as a Texan, I would never vote for someone that is a tax cheat and that if she thinks she’s going to have an easy time running for Governor here she better rethink that. Watch out for her she is not conservative.
