WASHINGTON (AP) The Justice Department on Monday released a long-secret legal document from 2001 in which the Bush administration claimed the military could search and seize terror suspects in the United States without warrants.
The legal memo was written about a month after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. It says constitutional protections against unlawful search and seizure would not apply to terror suspects in the U.S., as long as the president or another high official authorized the action.

The memo was one of nine released Monday by the Obama administration.

releasing the internal operational documents from the prior administration is crossing so many lines here, it is making my head spin.
The libs would be frothing at the mouths screaming for impeachment if a Republican president even mentioned any of what Obama has been preaching, to say nothing of what he has already done.
I'm sure she takes great delight in how her husband is destroying America. Thesis anyone?
President Lincoln suspended Habius Corpus during the Civil War and even deported some of his detractors. President Bush was and is serious about the War on Terror.
>>SO?<<
Hmmm constitutional protections don’t apply if the President or another high official authorizes the action... I can see a dangerous precedent... what if a high official decides that gun rights or freedom of speech or the press don’t apply?
Power and money. Stay in power and get very wealthy. Many think tanks in DC are Saudi funded. Valerie Palme’s husband joe Wilson worked for one.
If you think these people will not sell out the country and you in a heartbeat - you are wrong.
Also the same thing has happened in Europe with Saudi money. England is over. All the Muslim Brotherhood.
I suppose that is one perspective. Another is that the Southern States did not appreciate the selective meddling in their affairs by the Fed, no matter how justified such meddling may have been.
Of course slavery was cuckoo...but tell that to Lincoln, who did very little to abolish it 100%. He only selectively applied the Emancipation Proclomation, exempting the non-rebellious slaves states and certain non-rebellious parishes of Louisiana.
As wrong as the South was for relying so heavily on something as wretched as slavery, they were troubled by the heavy hand of the Fed.
you left out
Mexico will devolve into civil/drug war
refugees and violence will pour over the border
He has no class, and no connection to American decency.
This is exactly why past associations make a difference. Radicals shaped his views and he is a radical.
“Change”.
“He is going for prosecution.”
He needs a BIG Red Herring, an “Enemy Of The People”, very soon to cover for what he is doing to the economy.
What’s happening is so big, and he has sorrounded himself with so many crooks, that even his adoring media minions are beginning to notice it.
And turning Limbaugh in to the “Enemy Of The People”isn’t working out very well.
HAH, that’s been happening for years, but you are right, it will get worse.
“I wonder why we have never seen Obamas college transcripts.”
Or EVER seen an interview with ANY of his college roomates.
But the media managed to track down ALL of Palin’s college roommates in less than 48 hours, and stick cameras in thier faces.
what’s that show with Vanna White?
Obama’s Character: The clue is:
7-letter word
begins with A
ends with E
rhymes with ANUS
Actually, we’ll probably all be fleeing to Mexico before this is done. That’ll shape them up!
I’m only half-joking, btw.
It must be said and said repeatedly:
It is obvious to anyone who is paying attention: They are doing this INTENTIONALLY.
They are INTENTIONALLY destroying our nation.
With Malice and Forethought.
Ever since seeing video of Saudis paying Palestinians with fistfuls of 24 carat gold years ago I realized money meant nothing to them.
Saudis can have what they want on a whim and they could have spent a fortune this little WhoseSane of ours.
It's getting less and less tin hat.
