Rush is a thought leader for conservatism if nothing else. I’m not seeing ANY of that from the RNC or the usual GOP channels.

Glad Rush mentioned how much he has done to help out Steele early in his career. Shows what a real weasel the RNC head is. That is something I really cannot tolerate: people who do not remember who was good to them and helped them. Only a fool would forget.
I didn't get a thrill upon Steele's election, anyway. RNC needs to get a ton of grief out of this.

"I talked to Democrats that were furious at Limbaugh for Operation Chaos" Who gives a rat's ass if DemonRats get furious?
To: St. Louis Conservative
We need to be directing all fire on the Dems, as they need a fractured conservative base and Republican party to force through their agenda.the conservative base isn't fractured, it's just been pushed out of the Republican party.
It's necessary to put our house in order before we can be effective fighting Dems.
The liberal leaning of the GOP can't be effective fighting the liberal leaning Dems.
In fact they haven't show they are serious about doing it.
They have been supporting left leaning candidates for far too long.
Conservatives need to take the GOP back from the moderates and RINOs.

The GOP has to change to be effective, and Rush is encouraging it to do so.
That's my take, as well.

It was an expression, a turn of phrase, I don’t think the democrats own it. Thank you for the link I searched and found the quote on my own like a good conservative.

I wish I knew.
I think what Rush is doing at this time will help.
The GOP seems to have not had a problem with losing power and influence on the political scene.
The leadership of the GOP first has to wake up and decide they want to succeed.

... I hope that soliloquy moves Steele to grow a backbone!
My backbone was fully formed after joining and serving in the USMC. If Steele has no backbone now, it is not likely he will ever get one. But then again, backbones are relatively uncommon in people who make a living as politicians. (see my tagline)

Reagan's 11th Law is, “Speak no ill of another Republican.”
Something which is routinely ignored around here.

I thought the same thing for a time, but then I realized that the individual states set the dates for their individual primaries- NOT the RNC. Isn't that true? Sure. But if individual states defy the RNC, then the RNC refuses to seat their delegations at the convention. We saw the DNC do it to two states that voted early without permission.

Frankly,
I believe Steele blew the CNN interview even BEFORE he got to Limbaugh. When the comedian jumps on Steele about the number of blacks being at the GOP convention, his statement was that it looked like a ‘NAZI party convention’.
Yes, that's what Hugley said.
It was after I didn't see Steele IMMEDIATELY lam based this host for making such a blantanly RACIST comment, throwing down his lapel mic and walked off the set, I changed the channel.
Yo Steele, you gonna go into the ‘TV hood’ ready to throw down with the brothas? You better bring your A-game. Rush did - brilliantly.

Just when I was starting to consider thinking about not screening out those RNC fundraising phone calls, the RNC goes and makes me remember why I haven’t given them money since 2004.
