Mark Simone just announced on his radio show that legendary broadcaster Paul Harvey has passed away. He was 91 years old. No details yet.

I first heard Paul Harvey in my early teens working on a dairy farm. After morning milking was done and just prior to driving the cows to pasture, the farmer, his wife and I would pause at the barn entrance to hear Harvey tell us “ the rest of the story “.
One of my favorite times of the day working on that farm.

The world is less for his passing. I’m sure God welcomed him with arms and a loving embrace.

Paul Harvey was a class act that is one of the greats, noone is likely to last 3/4 of a century in radio again. Rush would have to go another 45 years to equal him.

The Radio Hall of Fame and all the networks should have tributes to him, his career spanned from FDR to FDRII.

If I understand it correctly, he never retired. He kept working until he just wasn’t able to do it any longer.
