Gee. I used to fix oxtail soup, but we somehow got out of the habit of eating unusual things like that. Now, I’ll have to make it again.

I can't think of a negative thing to even think about Paul Harvey.
I smiled everyday when his clips were on before Rush on WLS-AM.

Ern, God bless you and your family. My wife, right now, may be spending her last visit with her Mom.
Paul Harvey was a man who understood the magic of Radio. I found this out a long time ago when I aspired to be in that business. I am no longer because it, along with most of what was right with America, has changed. Gone. But Paul Harvey was above the trend, he understood that he spoke with millions of Americans, just like Rush does, one person at a time. He palyed the Theatre of the mind, which is the essence of Radio, like Cliburn plays the Baldwin, like Cassals played the Cello, like Pavarotti sang the high C, with a spirit and an art-ess-trrrry unlike any other person who was in love with a microphone. All of us who have thrown the mic key open and become one of the actors in that wonderful theatre, know, the masters are those who understand......each and every one as an individual...that was his great ness.....
RIP Mr. Arendt. I will miss your show.

He got his first radio job cleaning up around the studio at KVOO in 1933...76 years later while still under contract he passes a way. This is one of the great things about Paul Harvey - his last broadcasts were just as good as any he's done. There was no one shrugging their shoulders wondering why he didn't hang it up 20 years ago.

Paul Harvey was a true pioneer and paved the way for people like Rush. True, but Rush has elevated broadcasting to an art form that will never be surpassed. At least not in a few hundred years.

I assume you heard about PhatHead’s son also passing away last night. Life is so precious, and the loss so great.
