I only recall two comments:
“Rush stepped over the line”
and in response to a twitter received from some viewer regarding how Rush would win a debate against any liberal, the female anchor (whose name I haven’t a clue) said:
“I beg to differ” revealing herself as the liberal she is.
Schneider was the one who used the stepped over the line comment and he was MAD. You could see it in his face; Rush told the truth, and the truth is what MSM tries to hide from the people every day.
BTW, if you want a fantastic visual depiction of an 1800s version of how the "masses voting" stuff worked, watch "Gangs of New York." It is the best representation of "getting out the vote" that I've ever seen.
Good summary, but you did not calculate the effect of the Ron Paul vote - the farthest to the right conservatives who would have voted for someone other than McCain, had Paul not been on the ballot.
PS: I was first and last a Romney supporter.

Something he said in his speech made me think it’ll be different now: “Some of us just haven’t had the inspiration or motivation to do so in a number of years, but that’s about to change. [Cheers and Applause]”
I hope I’m right; I thought he was alluding to the fact that he’d been half-assed recently but no more.

I saw the D-SPAN replay last night...they edited out the “New Castrati” part. So hopefully Rush’s site will have it in.

It’s so hard for Conservatives to get past the MSM. I was thinking we should organize to go “undercover” at the lib talk shows, in large groups. For those who don’t have a low gag threshold, attend The View, Oprah, etc., and when the crap starts to flow from their mouths, the group, en masse, should make a huge disturbance: “Liar!”, etc. Make it big enough that they can’t ignore it.
We’re too damn nice and polite. We should take some pointers from Code Pink, etc., and get in their face, and get noticed. If we don’t take some strong action, they’ll continue to walk all over us and our message will never get out.

Absolutely! I hope he takes good care of himself and his health; we NEED him now more than ever, and can’t afford to lose him.

Perfect idea! Almost everyone watches the responses and it would be a great way to get the Conservative message out. Even if people watch with the intent of criticizing the responder, at least they’ll hear the message in a straight-forward, no-BS way.

I did! I’d seen the speech live, then again on C-SPAN with my husband. There was an obvious break in the film and you knew something had been edited. And I never heard the “castrati” word. Figured they took it out.
The straw poll was before Rush’s speech. (Don’t know if taking the poll later would’ve made a difference, though.)
