However - the window to "work within the system" is closing rapidly. Why do you think Rush gave the best speech of his life tonight? He sees it closing too, and I'm sure he wants to see us resolve this crisis peacefully, while we still have a chance.
That will only happen if conservatives stand up NOW, and begin loudly protesting the sweeping changes in Obama's bills with serious ferocity.
If not, we're headed for a historic showdown with our gov't that will rank up there with the Civil War, the American Revolution, and WWII.

RUSH IS TOO SMART!! He has been at this for 20 years...he knows when to stay above the fray...He has a message...his listeners understand....it is stay cool and be who you are...real conservatives dont play the field they own it...we will make some noise with the tea party. it is just the beginning...its the start of the separation of real vs bipartisans... you let the fire ignite in little spots, but it will keep lit with the big guns like Rush and Hannity.. all our energy needs to be on 2010 and 12...right now we are stirring the water and see what comes up... AND IT IS UGLY!!!!

The message I took away from his speech is that we are in for a long and difficult battle, and that Liberty is at stake - but that with intelligence, passion, focus, conviction, and yes, good humor - we can win.
I hope many of you out there feel the same way.
We should put pictures of Rush all over...Conservative mag covers, Billboards, Bumper stickers, t-shirts and the message written across should read

I just tried to explain to my 11 year old what is happening in our country right now. Bless his little kid heart, his answer to what I said was 1) I guess I'll have to live in your basement and 2) I won't pay what they demand that I pay.
I look at him and his friends, and my heart breaks. We must stop this, come hell or high water, for the sake of the the children. (The freaks on the left have used that so often, but this time, it is true.)

To understand that, the 24 hour clock you’ve had to be in military, police, Fire dept etc. My granddaughter can hardly read a standard hands wall clock. That is the education system for you. She can’t multiply or divide either they had cheater cards in school!

Today’s roughly 1.5 hours was about as much as Rush actually talks during the 3 hour radio show, without commercial interruption/news, etc. It was so enjoyable, every second of it.
My 20-something stood by our tv and watched every last minute of the speech. Dumba$$ voted for Zero. Loves Rush. Go figure.
A large part of the reason we lost the election was a total failure of communication/articulation on the conservative side. God love him, but President Bush could not articulate what he was doing and how his policies were succeeding. He allowed the MSM, the Dems and others on the left to define him and his Administration. I anticipate history will correct and revise the record.
There is no one, absolutely NO ONE who can articulate better than Rush all the reasons we are conservatives. Hopefully in the next elections the GOP nominates someone Rush can speak on behalf of and support without reservation.
Speaking of the arrogant 0, yesterday on Special Report with Bret Baier, Bret asked the commentators about the 0’s speech to the Marines at Camp Lejune (sp) NC. Charles Krauthammer was one of several who said the speech was the worst speech he had ever given
