In reviewing the recent election, one factor for VA/NC that has to be considered adequately is the popularity of their colleges to students from the Northeastern US ... NY/NJ and all of New England.
The Obama machine registered thousands upon thousands of students who are home-based in that region to vote in VA/NC because their votes weren’t needed to tip the scales at home, but they sure were needed in VA/NC. Those states have to tighten up voter registration and voting regulations to prohibit visitors, which is what students are, from voting in their host communities. Frankly, I wouldn’t want conservative students from AL voting here, either. It is really an outrage.

Gotta say, jonny, that not only do the Dems NOT ever say “the era of FDR is over,” they won’t EVER badmouth one of their own-—whether it was an inept Carter or a hawk like Truman or JFK with whom they ALL fundamentally disagree today. The Bush bashers here should take note.

I'm dropping a line to FOX to say thanks!
No commercial interruptions once. What a treat.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
that was clearly a talking point given her by the DNC well before Rush opened his mouth.

I’ve been in a funk since the messiah stole the election.Watching El Rushbo made me feel better than I have in months.Cnn is going to do a panel on the speech. This is too much fun.
To: t1b8zs
I’m so glad FOX stayed with this throughout the entire speech. There is no one in the current Conservative movement more able to communicate the values of Conservatism than Rush.

Well, that's not the "fundamental issue," because everywhere at all times, that has been true. In America, the gap between the have and have-nots has often been tiny, but has never, nor can it ever, be erased.
The conservative's goal has always been to explain that the have-nots can have a much better chance to be a have in America than anywhere, at any time. THAT is what has been missing from conservative talk in the last 10 years.

To: WhistlingPastTheGraveyard
As great as Rush has been for nearly 20 years, hes operating at another level now. This is one of the greatest speeches Ive ever heard. I agree.

Disagree. See my post above. This has always been the case, and in the past instead of voting they burned things down and killed people.
