The Tulsa Tea Party was a great success today! Arriving at Veteran's Park I found a nice sized crowd already gathered and raring to go 15 minutes prior to the start time! (Way to go, Tulsa!)
The crowd quickly grew to somewhere between 300-400, according to various news reports. I can't tell you how great it was to see people pouring in carrying signs and displaying their patriotism. Conservatives tend to be - well - Conservative in their fervor for public protesting, so these numbers indicate a great sense of unrest and dissatisfaction with what is happening in Washington.
KRMG Radio personality, Joe Kelley, introduced Jai Blevins, the patriot from the Tulsa area who organized this demonstration. Jai took the microphone first, thanked everyone for coming, and then introduced Sally Bell, recently elected Chair for the Tulsa Republican Party. Ms. Bell emphasized that we are watching how our elected officials are voting, and we will keep them or remove them based on their voting record.
Ms. Bell was followed by State Senator Randy Brogdan(R). Jerry Robinson, an economist and minister in Tulsa, who has written a book "Bankruptcy of our Nation," closed.
Jai Blevins again rallied the troops, asking people to toss tea bags and pork rinds into a large, white "tea" bag, protesting the unnecessary pork in the spend-u-lus bill.
Numerous media sources were in attendance, including KRMG-AM, KFAQ-AM, ABC, CBS, and Fox23. I would like to point out that I did not see any KJRH (local NBC) crews there, and they did not report on the event, to my knowledge.
All in all a great day. I'm ready for the next one. I'm also hoping there actually is a LARGE Chicago Tea Party in the works for this coming July.
Sorry, I didn’t know how to shrink these photos!
You did good. I can really see the people.
I wonder who the freepers are in these photos?
Me too.
Great photos. Love those signs. Thanks for posting, wish I could have been there.
Great pics, great signs! Thanks for posting them!
I’m All Right, you did a super job.
Thanks.
Now we must all join together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did great. Love the detail in the pics. This is going to grow..and I bet it won’t be too long before there is a big march on DC..in that mall..as big or bigger than the gangs that came there to witness the immauguration of the Black Fuhrer!
I would bet there are freepers there but not to divert attention from the message of all the population joining in the revolt. Otherwise it might be seen as just the Freepers at it again and dismissed by the media when it does catch on. Rush mentioned Tea Party and so did HAnnity..so the word is getting out.
That’s quite all-right.
Very good to see them!
I especially liked the balloon-pig, nice touch.
Great job, great post!
I love it all.
Thank you for the effort and your post.
Heads Up: Cavuto About to Cover Tea Parties
If the current news media had covered the Boston Tea Party of 1773...

It is so good to be from Oklahoma!
You folks have put other parties to shame. A state with a population the size of Houston and one city gets as people on the ground as they did.
I an admitted sexist observation, conservative and Oklahoma ladies have it on their lib counterparts in every category.
You’re doing fine Oklahoma!
Put a tea bag in an envelope and send it along!
After the Tulsa Tea Party, a petition was submitted to the Tulsa City Clerk. Almost 120 City of Tulsa registered voters said they want the Tulsa City Council to refuse the $945,000,000 pork.
The DEMOCRAT Mayor asked for pork, WITHOUT asking the REPUBLICAN City Council.
Copies will be on desks next week. Email your City Councilor and DEMAND you want the resolution to say NO to almost $1 billion pork. That’s just Tulsa’s share.
If you are a registered voter in the City of Tulsa or have a business address within Tulsa City limits, sign the petition here-——>>> http://www.petitiononline.com/nobama/petition.html
If you are not a registered voter in the City of Tulsa, whydon’tcha start a petition for your town? Edmond, Midwest City, Moore, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Ponca City, Sand Springs, are Sapulpa are all asking for the pork.
Change starts at home. Imagine if every town in America said “NO, we don’t want pork!”
Thanks for posting that.
Anyone know if the Tulsa World ran an article?
