Obama Starts Process of Removing Doctors' Protections on Abortions

Washington, DC -- The White House quietly announced on Friday that President Barack Obama is starting the process of overturning protections President Bush put in place to make sure medical staff and centers are not forced to do abortions. The move is the latest that will add to Obama's growing pro-abortion record.

Existing federal laws already make it so doctors and hospitals are not required to perform abortions. Because those laws aren't always followed, the Bush administration added additional protections.

Now, the Obama administration is Starting the process to remove them.

Obama’s purpose with this is to eliminate his opposition. There’s no doubt he’s looking to become America’s first dictator.

He knows people of conscience will object and reject this. He will divide the medical industry in half.

I agree 100% -- sad part is we had some right on this site that helped elect him or stayed home to teach us a lesson as they kept saying over and over they couldn't vote for McCain. Well this one item right here would not be happening as Sen McCain would have continued the Bush Doctrine of protecting the unborn. Shame on anyone on here that couldn't get their head out of the sand to see how bad Obama was going to be. The signs were all there from Day One when he made the speech after 9/11 blaming the USA. I disagreed with Sen McCain a lot but his core principles on strange defense, smaller government, no earmarks and ardently pro-life could not be denied.

This election was too important to not vote for the GOP candidate because he didn't meet someone's unrealistic expectations. Hope some people grew up after this election and realize they are not always going to get 100% of what they want in a candidate but they had better look at where a candidate stands. Obama was FOR partial birth abortion which spoke volumes.

Galt’s Gulch will have no shortage of doctors.

Thanks to tort reform, Texas has welcomed thousands of doctors to the state over the past few years. As you might expect, there's been little or no reporting of that fact.

In today's USA, Texas and a few other states are about as close as one can get to Galt's Gulch.

BTW, I've noticed how young women from California undergo a metamorphosis when they relocate to Texas:

1. They will initially react with anger when men open doors for them.

2. They balk at putting on makeup before going out to perform routine tasks such as shopping.

3. They appear shocked when complete strangers smile and say hello to them on the street.

After a few months of this, these women realize that friendliness and courtesy are good things in themselves.

Where they get hooked in is where the men that take them out on dates insist in paying for the date.

Within mere months, they're completely fluent in discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the "cover-two" defense in football.

Eventually, they get married and become soccer moms driving the kids to practice/dance lessons, etc., and vow never to return to California.

That's the strategy. Shoving the stimulus down our throats, then his bloated monster called a budget. They are purposefully steamrolling. And they have been preparing for this for a while.

Another private, personal decision that the government has NO business invading.

Personal views aside, decisions on abortion are best left to the mother, the father (if he’s around and the pregnancy was not the result of rape, coercion, or the like), the doctor, and the Good Lord. The government has no business in this process.

If a medical practitioner is morally opposed to performing or assisting in abortions, then they should be able to say so and act accordingly.

Some are still at it as they trash everything the GOP in Congress does even when all but three stood together against the stimulus including going after Steele for not getting rid of the three which he had no authority to do. It is becoming clearer and clearer as the days go by that we have a lot of trolls and 3rd Party types hoping the Republican Party goes away no matter how much damage is being caused by ZERO and his cronies. Going to be interesting and frankly irritating in the days ahead. The key is that we NEVER give up the fight to take back seats in 2010 and defeat ZERO in 2012.

His stand on abortion should make every pro-life and leaning pro-life person go to the ballot box in 2010 and 2012 to vote out the RATs and in 2012 vote out OBAMA just like we did Carter. Every county voting list needs checked for fraudulent votes and we as citizens have a right to question. Early voting has made it easier but also made it ripe for fraud in states that don't require ID.

Time for all of us that believe in freedom to NEVER give up! Our Nation is going through tough times but we did under Carter as well as he gutted the military and our economy went way south. Better days are ahead as long as we keep Ronald Reagan's optimism alive.
