WASHINGTON Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles on Wednesday indicted a Jordanian businessman with connections to the Florida Republican Party on charges of funneling illegal contributions to three former presidential candidates and Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida.
The indictment of the businessman, Alaa al-Ali, 37, shines a spotlight on the role of a business associate who the complaint asserts helped collect the donations. The associate, Harry Sargeant III, is a major Republican fund-raiser who owns an oil company with government contracts in Iraq and who recently resigned as finance chairman of the Florida Republican Party. Mr. Sargeant raised more than $500,000 for the 2008 Republican presidential campaign of Senator John McCain.
News organizations raised questions last summer about suspect donations to Mr. McCain from Arab-Americans that the campaign initially linked to Mr. Sargeants fund-raising before attributing them instead to another one of his Arab associates.
The indictment charges that those suspect donations were in fact illegally orchestrated and reimbursed by Mr. Ali to circumvent caps on individual contributions as well as a ban on donations from foreign citizens. (Mr. Ali is a citizen of both Jordan and the Dominican Republic, where he lives, according to a statement from the United States Attorneys Office in Los Angeles.)

"...a total of $60,000 in illegal donations to the campaigns of Mr. McCain, Rudolph W. Giuliani and Hillary Rodham Clinton, and $5,000 to Mr. Crist."
And yet the NYT and other MSM outlets are silent when it comes to scrutinizing the financing of Obama's campaign.

True about the MSM refusing to cover anything related to Obama’s fundraising.
That said, interesting cross section we have HERE, NOW.

It's certainly a good thing that there are no DemoRats that ever engage in illegal fund raising or election fraud.
If it weren't for Republicans there would be no one for the NY Slimes to expose.
On the bright side, the Slimes will probably fold before this "story" concludes.

What does the indictment say about Mr. Sargeant? Absolutely nothing, from what I can tell.

Present Obama got $800,000 from the Saudis to insure he would not use shale oil or drill or explore for oil here in the USA.
After being elected, he did what he was paid for.

Well, the individuals involved were also raising money for Hillary. Isn't she a Democrat? The issue here is the money. The individuals involved raised both legal and illegal contributions.
Only legally raised monies went to Hillary, an all illegally raised monies went to ONLY Republicans, so Hillary, a pure as the driven snow Democrat is innocent, and the Republicans are guilty.
See, it's simple.

She was on Norman Hsu’s campaign bundling list too. So that isn’t entirely true.
